A lot of the time I just use linseed oil to make the paint run a little smoother. This painting is all linseed oil as medium. I also like to use a 50/50 mix of stand oil and odorless mineral spirits
I carve wood and stone- gouges. chisels. mallets, hammers rasps and files are my primary tools. I do draw and sketch but haven’t tried painting yet- this helps me look at painting in a familiar way. Thank you!
