It's amazing how many RU-vidrs draw like kindergartners and try to review an art program. You on the other hand have skill so I can trust your review way more. Nice work buddy
Oh honey, i mean his stuff amazing but the issue is that it's very stylized and i rarely see someone doing hyper detailed lineart etc. Every tattoo artist on this planet (maybe not 100%) got an ipad which tells you enough on a professional base. To me it's telling that for linework especially there's no match for the apple pencil and procreate. I wish i could switch to samsung. I switched my iphone to zfold 5 but the tablet... i'm scared of these apps not being for what i need.
@@iAmNothingnessIf you have a beefy desktop you can just use SuperDisplay app to connect ur android tablet via USB C to your desktop - and it will act as a tablet drawing display. I did this to get over the crappy Android drawing apps.
Every tatto artist i know also uses the iPad, but I ask why and they all tell me because thats what every other tattoo artist uses not because they compared anything
Hi there, I'm an artist and handbag designer.... I've always worked old school and I've finally decided to take the plunge into the digital world. I've been indecisive regarding the S7+ or iPad and my mind had been made up to invest in the S7+..... Love all the info you share. It's been very helpful and I'm looking forward to explore my new tablet when it arrives next week. Many thanks from Cape Town, South Africa.
I've been using android since the beginning. I own the tab S4, S6, and S7+. It sometimes feels like I'm in a bubble because I see SO MANY IPAD videos. And many of them knock android repeatedly. Perhaps in the past, this was more accurate. But everything has come too far to ignore it at this point. After some months of videos like that, it starts to get discouraging. So videos like this go a long way. This video is so inspiring. You just whipped out that epic painting and everything just fell into place. Your art is incredible. I'd love to see you using the features in depth. And I look forward to seeing more from your channel. Thank you and God bless you.
ironically the smart people out there on computers dont use apple mainly because its a horrible closed garden where you are alot less free to do things and theres alot less competition in general. esp in hardware. so cheers your smarter than the crowd
I've been using android for years because I know how limited ios is.. And this weekend I ended up buying the new iPad pro just for pro create... That's literally the only good thing about having an iPad. Only reason I'm on this video is because I'm not happy with the iPad. I can't stand Apple so I'm thinking of switching it out for the new samsung tabs
True i dont want to be unable to use emulators and all the freedom we can have when using android i thought ipad anda procreat are very inviting but i dont want a tablet JUST for that.
Hey man, I just found your page after I bought my s7 and wanted to start learning how to draw on it, instantly subscribed and I would love some tutorials on how to do the special effects like the fire as well as pointers for a newbie, absolutely beautiful!
Honestly, I've been contemplating on getting a drawing tablet and you are helping me lean more towards this S7. I love the fact that you can rest your hand while drawing, and all the beautiful brushes. I have a Samsung galaxy z flip 3 phone so i really want to stick to Samsung so thank you so much for this video. I'd love to see the process of you sketching your art and showing us what size brushes and colors you use please.
Just ran into this video after looking for best art apps. I have the Galaxy Tab 9s ultra. And just downloaded. Looks great. Your video sold me on it. Now to find tutorials. Thanks.
Congrats man, you were really convincing and informative in your argumments. Another new own of Infinite Painter, thanks to you =D. They really outdid themselves on this update and I am really digging it, just like you said, it feels more natural.
I just saw your video because I am about to buy a Tab S7+. I really wondered if I have to get an iPad for learning digital painting and drawing and your video just assured me otherwise and I am very happy with my decision! Looking forward to some tutorials on painter and instantly subscribed! :D I just feel you're so sympathetic and authentic and feel like we're on the same level. Really really looking forward now 🤩
Yeah! It was a looong video... but I enjoyed it ❤️ I'm an android and ios user, I was an apple fan (not a fanboy) but now just an apple user, and I was struggling with buying an ipad or a galaxy tab, I'm not a illustrator btw, but sometimes I like to draw, but in this moment I'm really interested on drawing so I think you have convinced me into buying a galaxy tab. I know the nightmare about apple storage on mobile devices and the hateful "others" folder, but you see everyone using an ipad and talking about how wonderful it is and it's like people got used to this Apple problems and seems like no one cares about them. I use procreate pocket and I've been trying infinite painter for a few days, and I can say I miss some functions on procreate or at least they work better on procreate than on infinite painter, but the streamline on infinite painter feels a lot, lot, lot better than on procreate, I also donwloaded infinite painter on my iphone and seems as always, that the app is better on ios than on android. But in the meantime I’ll keep drawing on my phone
I agree about enjoying the tab 7s plus over my iPad. I don’t like the infinite painter layout but they do have awesome brushes. I don’t use it as much as I should I like concept still trying to find my go to app with the tab. Thanks for the video.
I just had to sell my iPad Pro (and I really mean “had to”) and I’ve been pretty bummed about it since iPads have been my creative outlet since 2013. Was looking for art apps that might work on a Fire HD I have laying around just for media consumption, when _this_ video popped up in recommendations. Bruh, you’ve got me not only eyeballing the fence, but also doing the maths to figure out how to catapult over that sum’abitch😂 Samsung AND the Painter app devs should slide you some dollars, because this review has a decade+ iPad/Procreate artist legit about to jump ship😌👍🏾
I've had frustration with Medibang Paint on my tablet. It's almost the same feeling you mentioned - feeling boxed in, and having too many things around your canvas. I think I'm going to download Painter now. 😊
Thanks for your video. I'm in the market for a drawing tablet and you confirmed that Samsung is a great product. I had a galaxy phone that lasted several years. I'm an animator and artist I need a pad mainly for animation. Like you I've always found other art apps cumbersome sacrificing work space for ease of tool use. I had an app just for filters too and based on your review, Painter has everything I need in one app! BTW your work is very nice alive with movement and depth. Thanks again
Thank you for this. When my ipad broke , I got the Galaxy S8 tablet and wanted to love it for art, but was mourning procreate. This changed things today. 🙏🏼
@@jesusmalverde612 it's been great. My droid tablet has so many nicer functions and painter is a really smooth swap from procreate. With time it felt comfortable with a better system.
@@marzimakesart thanks for the reply. I just returned my iPad cause I can't stand Apple. I got the newest one. Tried it for a week but the only good thing about that is the pro create app
I discovered digital art under 2 years ago. I fell in love with it all, and after starting out using a standard office mouse, I did some investing and bought drawing pad, but I wanted to be able to go mobile, so I bought a Samsung S6 lite. I rarely even draw at my desk top. I wasn't even aware that some programs can only be used on a desktop, and that there are some apps that can only be used on a tablet. I did heavy research into what apps to try out, what they cost, which apps were better then other apps for different uses. HANDS DOWN Infinite Painter is the best. I didn't like it at first. In a way it's very similar to Sketchbook, and other then Krita I was using Sketchbook on my PC so I comfortable with it. After a couple months I opened Infinite Painter and it's pretty much my go to app. The customization on brushes is very pinpoint accurate and super easy to use. There is NO PROGRAM OUT THERE desk top or tablet app that has a better stabilizer function either. You have to set it to each individual brush, and it's under a "SMOOTH" option. Every app has a stabilzer, but the levels are pretty much set with just few strength options. Like 5,10,15 etc. so they might be to weak, or to strong. Other apps or programs don't have a stabilizer, they have a LAZY TOOL where you drag your cursor. Infinite painter is set up from 1-100 so you can set up to perfection. Some brushes I have set stronger then others. My art is so much that I feel like I'm cheating using the smooth tool. I keep discovering new things on this app. Frankly I'm amazed that this app isn't more popular then it is, but I think because they made every so simple in the tool bars to maximize screen usage, at first glance it looks like this app is limited, when fully exceeds any other app that I've come across, and I did the trial run many many of them. The amount of brushes to choose from is......I don't know another app that has more options, and on top of it, there's the community option to download any brush that some has customized and uploaded. There's literally THOUSANDS of downloaded brushes you can download for free. This app is just amazing. And on top of it. Right here on youtube there is many tutorials on how to use the tools and the options for the app created by the app creators themselves and holy shit did it help me out.
Fully agree....I have the 2017 ipad pro as well and I absolutely love procreate. BUT getting files off the iPad especially large files is a tedious chore. I can't count how many times the transfer failed uploading to Dropbox or g drive. I love how android has a file managent system. Plug in a PC and drag and drop. Infinite painter is the best procreate alternative on android. I use it on the zfold. Thinking to buy an used S7 o S8 ultra.
how does it fair with the crease on the fold? ive seen some issues with tilt controls and tapering mechanics being effected by the crease space on it on some apps
@wmoros i would use it on the fold just for situations where u have to. Infinite painter for some reason is way less stable and missing features on the phone than the tablet. The fold area is a bit soft so I always move to the flat sturdier area.
since the upgrade last month, where you had the option of hiding all the tool bars in the top left corner, but now there is a house icon that returns you to the home page, if you want to make all the tool bars vanish you have nothing but screen you can still do it by tapping on the screen with FOUR FINGERS. Incase you didn't know.
Also impressed:) Tryin it out on S22 ultra. Weird thing though, spray paint brush seems to be locked in assisted mode.. any suggestions? Other brushes work normal.
Hey great video I came from iPad and procreate. The s7 screen is just outstanding. Love painter I was getting frustrated by not been able to full colours. Under the inked layer but if you select paint full tool then go to layer you want to source you select the ink layer and can colour drop on the under the layer like assisted on procreate. How come you home button in the top right is there I don’t have that on my paid version maybe your on a new build of painter ?
MAN I JUST BAUGHT MY S7 AND I SEARCHED IF PROCREATE IS FREE ON ANDROID AND I SAW THAT ITS NOT ON ANDROID BUT THOS APP IS SO MUCH BETTER THEN PROCREATE!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UPLOADING THIS I AM SO GREATFULL THAT I HAVE TO SUBSCRIBE FOR YOU. Thanks man i love this app so much
I have an ipad and just bought my gf the Tab S7 and toyed around with painter. Immediately I prefer this interface. Things like symmetry are done so much faster in this. Both are very good apps and are based on preference, but Procreate is definitely no longer THE go-to drawing app.
@@RobertJohnson-ov4oy Really depends on the artist and their preferences. Procreate has more features, but if you're not going to use said features, it doesn't really matter. And if the work-flow doesn't suit you, then you're better off using something else that does. So no, I don't see anything "false" about what I said. Procreate is great, but it's not THE go-to drawing app.
@@maiwei it’s not YOUR go to drawing app, but for professional artists like myself it’s very much THE GO TO! Just say you’re not a digital artist, and that’s that because it shows.
@@RobertJohnson-ov4oy The same point you made can be made right back at you. Just because YOU use it, doesn't mean EVERY artist does. For OTHER ARTISTS, they prefer OTHER apps. What a dumbass argument.
@@RobertJohnson-ov4oyChrist no need to be a pretentious little shit. It’s not the software or hardware that makes a good digital artist, it’s how you use them. It’s just like how you can own $600 worth of oil paints but can’t paint for shit while somebody who has about $200 worth will be much better because they know how to work with what they have. It’s like saying you can’t be a professional if you use csp instead of photoshop because it’s your preference in terms of tools and ui. It’s bullshit.
So are those drawing high resolution? Bcz i m looking for an app through which i can create hd designs which could be printable on shirts or stuff like that ? Plz clear me
I just got a Tab S7+ open-box/clearance for $370 due to a missing pen and charger (both of which I already have). Planning to do mostly math homework on it, but I'll be damned if I don't also take this opportunity to learn how to do digital art!
Hi, are you talking about Infinite Painter? Not just "Painter"? Love this video. My daughter is an artist, and this is the tablet I bought her over a year ago. She loves it.
Nice video! Are you still fully standing behind the painter app for android? If you want to draw vector, the Concepts drawing app is also a premium choice to have alongside..
I don't know if I love it or hate it Three finger tap and slide up/down, it change the brish size Three finger tap and slide left/right change brush opacity Anyway, does the time-lapse recording result is usable? because mine don't work
Good find. Thanks. I don't have a pressure sensitive pen. I'm using a 10" android tablet. looks promising. It was listed as "infinite painter". Did they change name? Does it work without internet access?
Thanks for this review. I've been subscribed to you for some years now but just got the Tab S7+ for the holiday so i'll check this out. I've been using CSP forever & LOVE IT on my computer, currently running on Samsung Notebook 9 Pro; but i heard the app version charges a subscription fee which I'm not a fan of. I tried to get away with the second screen feature to run CSP on the tablet but it's just not as smooth that way aha. Keep the videos coming my guy.
When I was using s6 lite, I experimented around with drawing apps and hands down, I love infinite painter so so much. I switched to s7 fe, and still use infinite painter. Its so good
Try to open a 5k x 5k file = insta crash. If your file exceeds 5mb= insta crash. Now eyedropper doesn't work on front button anymore, tried different settings... it has issues.
Lots of enthusiasm, but very few demonstrations of details. Audio quality is loaded with distractions but sounds wonderfully present. I enjoyed watching this and hoping to see your tut videos. Video could have been about 2 minutes long though and been just as informative.
@@ArtFace thank you for the reply. Got my used and it has some scratches on the screen. Probably wouldnt hurt if I give the temper glass protector a try. Can always take it off. :)
I'm an inspiring artist, and have been learning on Sketchbook Autodesk. Great app, but hate the UI, I keep hitting the layers with my palm. I underestimated this app because I only came across it by picture, and I was like "wow, what a small UI," this is legitimately the meaning that "big things comes in small packages". I learned that you can use three fingers gesture horizontally and vertically to control brush size and opacity. 🤯 I have a Tab s6, was thinking of moving to iPad, since i have iPhone and Mac, but thanks to Snapdrop, I can transfer stuff between devices no problem. But now that this app exists, I'm willing to move up to Tab S7+
I was doing my research thinking about buying an iPad for procreate. My wife has a Galaxy tab s7 that has been sitting doing nothing. I'm gonna give this a try.
Painter app has great features but sadly isn't near to stable when it comes to big size canvases....also there are issues like overheat lag when you're using lot of layers etc.Sadly procreate is years ahead from other apps even on ios. Most stable app right now on android is clip studio paint...big canvases upto 70 layers great stability auto save features ...25 € per year but at least the app is working without any flaws
I have a galaxy tab s4 and just downloaded painter hopefully it works just as good 😊🙏 Also is there a smudge tool in this app? I use them for certain edits but couldn't find one so maybe it's labeled as something else?
