Thank you for your nice comment! I really appreciate it! Even though I have been painting for 7 years, I am still learning and changing my techniques. ❤❤❤
-head and limbs -head ring -zip ties -glass beads -stuffing/rice (depending what you choose to fill the baby with) -cloth body -paint, paint brushes supplies like that This might not be all I’m not sure
Unknown, but known, I would suggest getting a starter kit from bountiful baby. com. It comes with everything you need. You will however need a newwave oven to bake the parts in. Or you can use air dry paints but I don’t know how to use them so you would have to find someone else to see how to use them.
@@helpthespirits3168 I'm a teen as well and I'm using Just regular acrylic paint From folk art and Apple barrel and glass and tile medium for starting I might get a kit in the future Of better acrylic paint but for now it will work.
This tutorial is just perfect I am SO glad I found you!!! I will be receiving my first reborn doll -Sofia- pretty soon!SO excited and nervous! I have an important question however, I hope somebody can help. Is it toxic to heat the doll with paint on my kitchen over 😂 Alternately, would be better to use the Air Dry? Thank you very much 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hey! Yes it would be toxic in your oven, and food/oil would get on the kit and mess it up. A brand new nuwave oven is the best. You can try air dry! If you go over to Creative Newborns youtube channel, she has lots of videos on air dry paint and you can learn how to use it there!
Thank you! I'm still in the video watching/ learning process... Of all the videos I've seen, your videos are the only ones that REALLY explain things! ❤ Honestly, I haven't seen a color wheel in any other videos, much less had someone explain how to use it & about making the skin neutral. Again, thank you so much!❤
Thank you so much! I appreciate the comment ❤️ Life has been super busy but I want to make a better quality video/new series since I only made 2 videos. Hopefully within the next year!
I heard you say this is a vinyl doll. Is it safe to bake vinyl dollar and is it safe to bake silicone dollar? I've read a disclaimer about baking vinyl dollar to set paint. Is this for sure a vinyl doll?
Yup, this is 100% vinyl. Do NOT bake silicone, you never have to bake silicone because you don’t use heat set paint on it. Baking vinyl puts toxins in the air that can cause respiratory issues or cancer. Only bake the dolls outside or in a very ventilated area like a garage.
I really would love to try and paint a reborn doll, however I am the least creative, arty, person in the world. I can’t draw or paint or anything, I’m much more logical, do you think this would be a problem? Do you need to be good at art to produce a good doll? Thanks so much x
I’m terrible at art. And I just watched RU-vid videos all the time and just went for it. I screwed up sealing it. But I absolutely loved it. Now I’m on my 5th doll and wow I’m getting so much better. And I look at my first doll I was so proud of and lol it’s terrible. But I made it for my grand daughter and she loves it. Just remember we all have our first doll :)
I believe everyone is able to be artist and creative. Art is more of a process then an end product! If it makes you happy, that is more important than how it turns out! Definitely practice a lot and think of “failure” as times to learn something. Try it out! Kits can always be stripped if need be. Don’t compare yourself to really good artists, I do this and it brings me down and I feel like I’m not good enough but everyone has their own style.
I know this video was a year ago but if you see this could you please tell me the name of this kit and/or where I can buy him? I say him because he is the exact replica of my grandson and I need to make him! 😊😊😊 If I could post a picture here I'd show you!! Lol thanks in advance!
Hey! Amazing video! So perfectly explained and for those of you who have problems with talking can go to someone that does nothing but hand movements and you understand nothing!! Anyway i have a question, if i live in the middle east do i use Celsius? I don't really know how to check it in google😅 i just bought my nuwave pro and i don't know if i should bake on Celsius or not
@@breeannaschilling1252 i think it will be easier to set it to F than start converting the temperature 🤷🏻♀️ but if i wanna convert does it has in the manual how to convert it or i just type the numbers that are accurate to C?😅
Ice Wolfie, no. Those scam babies aren’t real reborns. They are stolen from sculptors and are illegal. They are also made from toxic plastic so if you baked them they would give off deadly fumes.
Yes, they can be painted… use air dry. Don’t buy anymore fake / stolen sculpts. It’s illegal and does not benefit the sculptors. Plastics are chemicals, they aren’t organic, therefore ALL PLASTICS are toxic when heated.
@@breeannaschilling1252 I used acetone once and it didn't go will and it ruined my dolls vinyl then I heard from some other artists that it was bad so I switched to using winsor & newton brush cleaner and restorer I got it at Michaels it works like a dream and doesn't make the vinyl shiny or ruin it and I barely had to use any the product is amazing it removes heat set and acrylic I'll never use anything else to strip my dolls paint again you should really try it! 🙂❤️
I do talk a lot more in this video because it’s the first one and I wanted to make sure I was clear. I tend to explain things in many deferent ways so people can get a good understanding of what to do. 😊
Too slowwwww, no descriptive wording. Its like u have camera fright. Just talk naturally and at a normal pace, try not to overly describe things and talk so much. Ur very talented tho! Lots of love
At least she is helping others who really wants to know how to do this. Unlike some others on here withholding information from others because they think it's going to hurt their pockets. Some posting clickbait videos and making us think they are going to explain in detail how the process work, but gives us nothing.
I'm not trying to be rude, but you said the word "uhm" like about a thousand times in this video. I want to learn from you, but it kinda drives me crazy
Saying the same thing over and over, and over !!! Seeing a lot of hand movements, not necessary !!! After hearing um for the 100 th time it’s very hard on the head !!!
@@Hrgrvvsgirl It's not "calling them out" it was Criticism on how they constantly repeat themselves. It's childish when you don't know what you're talking about.

I agree! Haha. I wanted to say it in many different ways so people can understand exactly what I mean. The beginning is the most complicated part, the next videos won’t have as much talking! 😊
