Welcome back!! Here is a fun little video demonstrating how I paint my Cascading Flower ornaments in Gold and off-white.

My brush are as follows -
Round Brush - Kingart 9000 - size 4
Liner brush 10/0 Mid length liner by Kingart (9375).
Paint - Bright Gold - Folkart - Multi surface paint
Wicker white - .Multi Surface paint
Medium - 1:1:1 - Flow Medium, Clear Glaze Medium, Retarder Medium - all JoSonja brands by Chroma Inc.

After practicing the strokes, I found the metallic paint didn't go on very well. Should I be bascoating the bulbs with glass medium first?

Some of the metallic paints work better then others. I typically do not use a glass medium, but I would certainly give that a try. On occasion I need to go back and do a second coat of the metallic paint. I have had times where the paint and the glass bulb just do not work together.

Do you bake the ornaments after the paint dries?

I actually have not baked my ornaments because I am always afraid that the are going to break. I do need to experiment with that though. I try to let my ornaments cure for a few weeks to let the paint set. Thank you for asking!
