As usual, excellent video! I even have one of my sons watching your channel regularly. We are in agreement that you are a superb teacher. BTW, a few years ago I procured an M1 Garand through the Civilian Marksmanship Program. The receiver is vintage from WWII, but it is reparkerized, a new barrel and new oak stock. Beautiful piece of history that helped my grandfather and his generation who served in WWII. Keep up the great channel!

Wow, great video and awesome build! Thank you so much for your great videos! You manage to teach techniques and interest in each new video. You really helped me get into this hobby that I knew nothing about, to the level of a beginner and maybe more than a beginner. Thanks for the recommendations, videos and enjoying this amazing hobby! I wanted to ask you to make a video about the tamiya jeep willys mb, which you recommended before . Thanks again for the great videos, and congratulations on 40k subscribers!

Hey so unrelated question but what is a good color pallet for a winter camouflaged BF-109 G6? I’m going to be building a custom designed BF-109 that is winter themed but didnt know which vairants of white/grey to use. I have dark grey, german grey, and light grey acrylics and considered light grey for the base layer/underside layer but I figured it might be to greyish and not white enough. What would you recommend?
@piercebobo5754
@piercebobo5754 Год назад
Oh and let me add that ive seen a lot recommend using RLM 76 but I feel like its too blue in color. I want the camo pattern to be somewhat dull with very little to no green, blue, or any other colors. Mostly just greys/whites

Hey Hank, got a question for you. Do you know of any airbrushes that don't require an air compressor? I have been wondering and I think I have seen you use one before in a previous video, such as your Ukranian Abrams. Also, great content, keep up the good work man.
@Western_Hemlock
@Western_Hemlock Год назад
I think you can take a normal airbrush and just hook it up to a can of compressed air. I'm not exactly sure how, but I'm pretty sure it's do-able

It's called "The Rifle" & it's by Andrew Biggio - it's a collection of stories told by some of the last remaining veterans of WWII. A great read... you can grab it on Amazon! 📖

That's a fair argument! From this side of the pond, though, it's the Garand 😉🍻
@Lee0568
@Lee0568 Год назад
@@SpruesNBrews yes but the TWO flaws and problems the M1 had,was, 1,it only held a mag of 8 rounds, 2,the Metallic PING when it was empty.so letting the enemy know you were out. The Lee Enfield on the other hand had a 10 round magazine and NO metallic PING, it also went on to be one of the best sniper rifles in the world,but hey,I am biased,I'm English and spent over 10 years firing this rifle in competition.
@c123bthunderpig
@c123bthunderpig Год назад
@@Lee0568 Lee, both are excellent and do what they are designed to do. Slight correction, M1 is clip fed, has gas operated firing mechanism allowing semi automatic fire. Ejection is the ping. Strong bayonet mounting. Enfield is bolt action, with minor magazines issues. Weak bayonet mounting. However you can't get an M1 thumb from an Enfield :-) " A cup if tea and my 303 " Cheers

I mean depending on the country it can be the mosin nagant or mp40 also. For example in croatia where i am from it is the kar 98k.

@Lee 0568 , you're right. You are biased. To the point of sounding rather foolish. I say this as a former NRA Service Rifle competitor with the Garand AND life-long Lee- Enfield enthusiast.
