Painting Boat Topsides, Deck, and Cabin with Pettit Paint 

Hi Jason, some folks have luck letting acetone sit on the glue of 30-60 seconds. Make sure since you're inside, wear breathing protection as well and gloves when handling the acetone.

Hello, yes, you sound sand the entire area to be painted, prime with EZ Prime and then finish with EZ Poxy or EZ Decks. For non-skid areas, if they already have a checked pattern that you would like to keep, de-wax with Pettit 92 Bio-Blue and scotchbrite pads. For tough to etch areas, you can use a wire brush. Remove prepping solution with water, let dry and apply EZ Decks or EZ Poxy.

@@PettitPaint So sand the whole boat, prime the whole, boat, then paint the whole boat, then lay non-skid on top of prime and paint ?

@@spcalan EZ Decks has a built in non-skid. You can use that instead of EZ Poxy for areas in which you need slip resistance.

No primer on the non-skid, the area was prepped with 92 Bio-Blue and maroon nylon scuff pads, then painted.
