Great video! I do have a few quick tips. If you remove the tail light that hard to remove clip you can touch it. So I removed with a screwdriver and put it back on just by hand. Also I dangled my tailgate by the cables which also made some clips very easy to access. Just thought I toss this info out. My second bumper cap only took me 5 min to do after I learned these tricks. At what point was just removing the friggin bumper step cover such a hassle? Nah, lets dismantle everything else surrounding the bumper! You might as well take the truck bed off so you can get easier access 🤣🤣
It is way easier to remove the bumper bolts, except two, and let the bumper pivot downward. It allows plenty of access to the two trim clips and the metal retainer that are behind the bumper.
Hey there, looks way better. Question, did you re-install the retaining clips or leave out? I installed my new caps but I could not get those clips back in.

Every video I’ve seen seems to skip that part. Prob for a reason. I still haven’t put mines back in. Seems impossible unless you take out that whole housing.

Thats because until the 2000s it was actually still a metal bumper and it made sense that it was chrome to prevent rust. A chrome piece of plastic looks cheap... I don't blame him.
