This painting is impressive. I like what you did with the jacket. It's just the right amou t of details without being "fussy" or over-worked as you say.🙂
I love this!! When I first discovered your channel and classes I was so impressed with your art. And you just keep getting better and better, expanding your subjects and perfecting your skills. Just amazing. I love pictures of children and I will try to follow your tutorial.
Thanks Louise, it’s great to have you back with new painting techniques to learn! I’m not ‘ready’ to tackle painting people just yet , but still find this tutorial helpful. As you’ve heard from many of your other devoted followers, the bloopers are such fun!. I know how frustrating doing these kind of videos can be, since I did a few for my students last year when teachers were forced to teach remotely. It’s certainly not easy!
Such a warm and lovely painting, this little boy just draws you in. I love your use of wet on wet to create shadows, creases and seams. I'm learning so many useful techniques from you, thanks for sharing! 🙂
I'd already watched the full-length "Jacket" tutorial on Patreon, but I still love to see the RU-vid video as well, especially for Louise's fun bloopers! (Thanks, Louise!) 💜💛💚
Dear Louise, I like this video so much, I want to know more! :-) Your explanations are very clear, and I think it is darling to share your struggles to make the video at the end! Shows you sense of humor! Again, really love this jacket painting. I want to expand to painting figures too!
Thank you sp much. I've learnt a lot about watercolour from your posts. I'm struggling with the face now which is a great challenge not only to paint but draw too! Your relaxing voice and attention to detail is truly a treat!
Louise, you are a real trip. You crack me up totally. A multi talented lady. Artist and comedienne. Keep the vids coming. You made me laugh today. I buried my wife of 41 years Nov 12 of 2020 and I don't laugh easily. Thank you.
Absolutely beautiful!! The eye just moves around the painting, and I love the way the legs fade away drawing all the attention towards the jacket...Thank you Louise for this video
I'm truly enjoying your journey into painting people Louise, and learning a lot along the way. This turned out so beautifully, I can hardly wait until it's on Patreon to try my hand. I have wanted for so long now to paint people also, thank you for being such an inspiration!
As always, your work is just gorgeous! I always learning from watching your process and your personality is so refreshing. The end of your videos are so wonderful! I always watch all the way through!
Louise, I adore your bloopers and transparency! You crack me up and I applaud you bc it is sooo not easy to record yourself! What size of paper do you normally paint on? This looks to be at least an 8X10.
Thank you for the tutorial , I went ahead and sketched it free hand and followed your tutorial , mine isn’t bad for a beginner but still need lots of practice xoxo
Beautiful painting! Thank you for sharing it. I wonder if you could tell me the purple-ish color in the middle of the jacket. Doesn’t look like Antwerp or Prussian to me. Thank you! 🤩
