Yes. Depending on color it could take more. I would buy 6 and save the receipt in case you need to return one or two.

If you buy not enough you will have to run to home depot in the middle of the project. if you buy too many you can always return them in no hurry when you finish painting. @@leny7829

All depends on how much rust you have. if you have a lot of rust primer by itself will always work much better. If a little bit of rust you may not need to prime. Oil base paint should cover minor rust just fine.

we don't paint a lot of metal doors, but i think if it is just a little bit of sheen should be ok without primer. without looking at the door can't tell you for sure.

i would not recommend brush. with brush you could fill in small holes and it may not look good.

if the door is not rusty, no need for primer.

I never used Krylon paint. So can not tell if the issue is the paint or technique. I have been using Rustoleum to paint screen doors for many years and never had this problem. Regarding technique i can give one advice. Don't try to cover all with one coat. Apply thin and multiple coats instead. Give enough time to dry between coats. Hope that helps.

you can paint the color you want right away.

if you using oil base paint no priming is needed with minor rust. if you using water based paint or a lot of rust you will need oil based primer

Here in California it’ll be round 200 not much work on these takes longer to prep than to paint

Freddy Meza do you know how to get paint out of the little holes. Previous owners, used brush to paint this door. Thanks for the advice.

This is the link to the paint we usually use for metal doors. It should work well for most other surfaces. If you look somewhere on the can it will tell you which surfaces it is good for. We have used it on non-metal doors and never had any problems. I would recommend satin finish for an old door. If it is too glossy will be very hard to hide imperfections. tinyurl.com/y72lt2k6

we primed a few spots that were rusty. if you have rust on your door you should prime it first. if you have no rust no primer is needed.

if the paint is in good condition you don't need to sand.

Sorry Lydia, never had to clean clogged holes in the metal door. Other than poking each hole with a sharp object, or using paint stripper/remover to remove paint and re-paint again after, can’t think of a solution. May be another viewer will reply to you eventually with better ideas.

You may have to wire brush the screen to clear the holes. This will most likely require another coat of spray pain,only, with the recoat, apply thin coats to the screen material. The hole clogging comes from thoo much paint being applied at one time. Better 2 to 3 thin coats than one thick one, since tninner coats will dry more uniformly as well as reducing any missed spots.
