This is the best tutorial on painting grasses so far imho. I love the way the touches of brown enhance the grasses and trees realism.

Michael I am not a realism painter as I err more towards the style of Andrew Tischler, however I really admire your works and I can learn a lot from you as well as my main mention AT. I am learning that painting bushes or grasses just cannot be rushed and watching you create this foreground has given me confidence to try your approach. Sometimes we want to get a result quickly by a few brush strokes but I think with foliage we just have to stay calm and take our time.
