Another great video. Thank you for putting this together. Even though I’ve been doing this for a while… the stylus tip… that’s why I love watching these videos. Brilliant! And just my two cents: these grumpy pants that comment…” oh, well, uh, the music was too loud so, uh, like, uh, I’m out”… PLEASE don’t pay those doober heads any credence. Turn down the music- don’t turn down the music- the people interested in “ buyin’ what you’re sellin’” don’t care about the music. God Bless!

The stylus tip makes it sooo much easier! Glad it helped. As far as the "music is too loud" comment from B. I just take it as contrustive feedback. I'll go back and listen, re-evaluate, and make adjustments as needed. Thanks for the reassurance though! Really means alot.

I'm just working on tooling. I follow a worker that does amazing carving and painting. I might never be that good, but it is good to learn my strengths and weaknesses in the craft

Excellent video. I'm learning a lot from these. I'm glad Weaver hired you. As for the third question, "Why Roast always lands the butter side down?" It's because the butter side has changed its weight to be heavier than the nonbuttered side. And will always land butter side down, unless one side, of the butter side has more butter than the rest, then it may flip in the air and land dry side down. Gravity. 😁

😄 You're exactly right! Mythbusters tested this back in the day when they were still on the air. And thank you! I'm loving every moment of getting to do these videos for Weaver and their community.

Did you seal the leather before you antique
@DanielReachCreations

Yes! Absolutely. I discuss this in the first video where I show how to carve the project. The short version is that I use aerosol sealers on anything I paint. Leather Sheen has been my go to option for about a year now.

Buttered bread lands on the butter side because the butter shifts the center of gravity to the butter side due to its weight.

The leather background away from the flowers looks like it may be slightly dampened. Is that the case or just a shadow?

Loved the information and visual part of the video! Hated the obnoxious music! It really detracted from the video. Made me want to quit watching.

Wish the prep work for the leather before the paint would have been explained.

Isn’t this better with water based dyes than acrylic. Instead of using thinner just add more water to make them duller then add to the layer

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but is there a reason why you don't paint the piece white first before adding other colours? I know that's usually standard practice for painting on most material - is leather different?
@WeaverLeatherSupply

Not stupid at all! Leather is different but it all depends on the look are going for. In this project, Daniel wanted some of the natural color of the leather to come through in the sunflower. You certainly could paint the leather white first but it's not super common in leather working. Hope that helps!

The music causes me to have to strain to hear clearly what you are saying. You seem to have some good ideas but l'll pass.
