Welcome to part two of this McQuarrie Snowspeeder build. This video shows my methods of attacking the weathered painting on these models. All freestyle, no reference for this one, so its a nice enjoyable fairly quick paint job. I hope you find something in this video which may help you out with your modelling.

That is awesome! I absolutely love it and wonder why *that* version of the Snowspeeder wasn't immediately used back when ESB was filming! Your painting and weathering are perfect, it really looks like it could have been an actual filming model.

I am hoping to get the final thing together in a few weeks time, then i can get an accurate costing together. I have another large project to finish before i can finalise all the moulds etc. But it will come, thats for sure. Thanks for watching.

Hi Carl. I do have a couple of things in a very old box :-). A friend has most of them. Maybe a comparison after 40 years is in order, should be good for a laugh 🙂

Thanks for posting this. I thought the Black series figures were 1/12, but i stand corrected. It is indeed 1/10, or close. Thanks for the heads up. :-)

Great work! What are those painting sticks called. They are great, I can’t find any

Thank you. The painting stick is just a short length of carbon fibre rod, 3mm diameter. But you can use anything long and thin. I used a small length of thick copper wire for a long time, or an old thin screwdriver.
