It’s a: silver brush black velvet round. I have a few of them and they’re amazing! Another brush I just came across I watching a British watercolorist is an Escoda perla brush. Amazing point! I have one coming tomorrow. 🤩
This is so pretty. I had to look twice because I thought it was acrylic painting like in decorative painting which I did for a bit. Floating was a little different.
That’s exactly how she does it (lighter to darker - but you could technically do it the other way if you load the lighter color on the tip straight from the tube or pan palette so it’s denser than the darker wash already on the brush). She’s got a short video up on the two ways she does it. 😊
She’s got a short video up on the two ways she accomplishes this. Load the lighter color on your brush and then coat the tip with the darker color straight from your wetted pan or tube. 😊
Please tell me, what kind of brush is that? I've restarted painting at 69, and I've figured out that while my skills are improving, my brushes aren't keeping up. Any recommendations? Thank you. 🎉
The double layer is done with one wet paint and the other dry in the pan. Instead of water she uses the wet color as her water and then goes into the pan to get that layer
