Painting with Two Colors - Burnt Sienna & Ultramarine Blue
Painting with Two Colors provides a unified watercolor painting by having both colors in all parts of the composition. Burnt Sienna and Ultramarine Blue are complementary colors and mix to produce beautiful gray colors for skies, mountains, trees, buildings, roads and shadows.
The value plan is needed to show where the light and dark values are in the composition to lead the viewer through the painting. Three different Holbein brushes ¾” Flat, #6 Round, #4 Rigger are demonstrated to paint the different objects in the painting.
Wet Media Acetate is introduced in the video to show how an object is planned to get the proper size and location prior to adding to the painting. The Wet Media Acetate accepts watercolor and is easily cleaned off and reusable as an art tool.
