Well after getting on a small bus ( if you can call it a bus) mini bus maybe? With over 20 people packed in the back! They treated me like a VIP and insisted i sit up front. I had my local friend with me , he speaks Pashtun so again, was able to communicate for me. Although not always when the camera was on.We booked into a hotel for the night. I didn’t realize there was quite a few hotels in Peshawar, which is good to know if i ever went back there! Very interesting place and definitely worth a visit if your interested in the more unique places in the world. This is like its own little world, with its own language, traditions etc.
We went into a restaurant called Nisar Charsi Tikka, and the minute i walked in the door everyone was falling over themselves over me with hospitality. Ive never experienced anything like it in my life! It’s quite a famous place in pakistan, and with food Vloggers. The Food Ranger has been here, they kept going on about the Food ranger but I didn’t know him, and he’s from the UK so they were a bit confused as to why I hadn’t heard of him . There was a huge photo session with the owner, where at one point i think almost everyone in the restaurant was taking a photo. They then gave me a tour of the place...one of the line cooks was determined to get me cooking and take pics. The next “main man” after Mr Tikka i think was A1!! Lol...i had about 15 mins of video of A1 talking and asking if i wanted a recipe! Apparently this place is so popular they cook about 2 dozen sheep a day! Food was quite unique and if your a foodie its a must try place.
Then there was Hash Man, whi insisted i take a video of the right way to make a joint with hash, as he emptied his fag of all tobacco and then refilled it once he had melted and crumbled some hash into it...and of course i had to have a try. He insisted, then asked my friend to ask me if i was looking for a husband! What a night...one ill never forget, all good though.an unexpected crazy adventure that was just dinner out in Peshawar! The nicest friendliest people ever . Do visit, if your in that area, they are lovely lovely people that have been through so much in the past ...this may be my last vlog for a little while as I’m heading up north soon! Ill keep posting on Instagram ..also i wasn’t able to get anyone to translate as nobody in my hotel could speak Pashtun.....hopefully someone can help out ? Taking a bus north today...to whichever bus has seats open !
