When it comes to hindus, there is no religious fundamentalism because the religion has so much diversity within itself. However there is orthodoxy in form of casteism, treatment of women, untouchability, but I would consider them societal marrs and not essential to the religious practice. And radicalism mostly fuelled by historical injustices and islamists. I mentioned hindus but this also applies to Buddhist, Sikhs, Jains and other religions in India. The radicalism is kind of a problem but it's reactionary. I also believe that the orthodoxy will lose out over time. Societies change why can't religion? One of the unique problem with islam is that quran is the literal word of god and mohammed was the most perfect human ever so any heresy against these two (not actual universal god) will have you stoned to death for apostasy. Get rid of that and you'll have more leeway for reformation of islam.
