Trains were much better at that time... specially i loved the whistle of that locomotive numbered as 82. Now it really breaks my heart that the Railways is in its worse condition.
In 1994, PR had introduced specific colors for each train with Tezgam having blue and yellow color that resembles present day north indian trains, awami had grey and khyber mail had red or brown I think.
Kya yaad dila diya. Memories keep gushing back. PR has truly been devastated to the deepest depths. It was not that bad earlier. I've so many memories of traveling in Tezgam and Awam. I instantly recognize both of them. Awam with its AC lower coaches and Tezgam with its plenty of Sleeper coaches and of course both with their distinct color schemes. I guess they no longer attach Sleeper in Tezgam or any other train. Have they abolished this sleeper class altogether?
@zakrail So does it have 5 AC lower coaches in 1994? They started nonstop Khi express in 1997 I guess and it was still a regular train before with not a good reputation. Shalimar was the best at the time.
Great capture. I recognized two trains. The one that whizzed past at around 1620 was Awam from Peshawar. Damn it was almost on right time. I guess its right time was 1625. Tezgam for Pindi is visible at the time slot of 1648. The last train had many AC coaches and one very beautifully painted green AC coach. Which train was it? There was only Shalimar at the time with so many AC coaches but it used to leave very early and arrive at around 11pm. Which train this could be?
