I strongly feel that movies like "Khuda ke liye,Bol, Ramchand Pakistani,Kamli,Joyland kind of movies could well be branded as Pakistani movie all other movies that mentioned as good movies are just a copycat of Bollywood style movies so but that true these movies are heavily inspired by bollywood . Make your movies with your distinctive style that represents Pakistan like Iranian movies do other Pakistani movies will be passed on as one of those bollywood movies.
For your kind information Pakistani movie making style was same after 1947 ..same style and same songs picturization..it seems copy to yiu because you have watched enoght Bollywood movie and pakistani film industry was collapsed after 2000 and now after 2015 they are trying for their come back..watcy old nadeem waheed muraad mohammad Ali films then you will know its not copy its resemblance

India is known to make Masala films that have action, comedy, drama, emotions, song and dance mixed together. That’s the definition of an Indian film amongst the world. Only country in the world to have this style of film making. And is appreciated worldwide for this unique amalgamation. It is only when Pakistanis had access to Indian movies through vcr they realized Indians do it better and know how to do it and that’s why Pakistan eventually failed in film making. Pakistan should make movies according to their culture. Maybe something like Irani cinema. In fact movie, songs and dances or any other form of art is considered haram in Islam. Then why bother to indulge in it. That’s the reason Pakistan film industry couldn’t sustain long enough because ur culture does not encourage art neither gives any proper training and also worried about religious restrictions

I think you missed the point the argument I was trying to make that Pakistan cinema needs to connect to it's local audience and that can never happen when you're not making commercial movies. Commercial is not equal to Bollywood, for eg Maula Jutt was a movie without any of Bollywood masala ( songs, dance etc) and yet it was a commercial blockbuster.
The real problem is lack of professionalism in film industry. Look at the south industry of India. They are working on story. There cast are common but script is very strong. Now they are dictating Indian film industry. You can make a best budgeted movie. Real problem is our low level of ethics. Everyone is hero, producer etc.

I'm from India and i would like to share my perspectives on why Pakistan film industry isn't growing exponentially. - Instability at every level especially Politics that don't support filmmakers. - People are used to watching drama actors for free on TV and there's no mystery left to watch them on big screen by paying money - Lack of financial resources - Infrastructure deficiency - Strict censorship - Cultural restrictions - Poor marketing strategies - Lack of training institutes - Lack of professionalism - Lack of understanding of audience preferences and future trend - Competition from Bollywood and Hollywood - Lack of genre variety - Limited theatre - Overpriced tickets

The movies in the late 70's and onwards wasn't a bad time. The 80s movies did good business and many hit songs . The 90's was bit of a mixture. You need to do your research..

Ma'am as an indian ur serials are much better than our indian serials. There is no doubt the pak cinema is struggling to reach the heights of Bollywood or other regional cinema ( Malayalam, tamil, Telugu, kannada) but ur serials are way way better than us.

The argument I was trying to make that Pakistani cinema first needs to connect with it's audience and that can never happen when you are making movies on taboo subjects and when your masses are not even watching the movies what good can taboo movies bring to the society? Personally I don't like it but I understand there may be people who like such movies but it's a niche audience. For Pakistani cinema to grow it needs to deliver commercial hits.

Pakistani cinema needs to connect to masses before we can attempt movies on taboo subjects. Our film industry cannot afford movies on taboo subjects at this stage and it's actually proving to be detrimental.
