Remake isn't the same as copying There's a huge difference, half of these are remakes,the other half is copy For example, laxmi was the remake of kanchana, which was also directed by Lawrence But copying is where the movie is made without the license of the producer of the original film Some are copied, some are remade. But blatantly copying and THAT gaining more popularity without even the mention of the original doesn't seem right na? At least a little credit would be nice So yeah, remakes are okay but copying, well, isn't Just making it clear that both aren't the same for anyone in the comments 🤷♀️

NTR) Bhaagi -varsham(Prabhas) Bhaagi 2 - kshanam (Adivi Sesh) Kabir singh - Arjun Reddy(vijay devarakonda) And there are arnd 5-10 telugu films currently getting remade into hindi..agent sai srinivasa athreya..jersey(shahid kapoor doing remake) etc
The exact number is 598(Excluding the upcoming remakes).And i don't get it when people say south stories have don't logic despite people watching the same movies of south either in remakes or hindi dubbed in youtube.And these Bollywood guys boast themselves as big industry and they used to talk very low about south movies but Bollywood audience never knew most of them were copies of South. Even Prabhas and rana were asked about this in some Bollywood interviews saying how could a typical regional industry doing such great films nowadays..but the truth is they have been doing great films since many years and Bollywood is just Copying such movies.

these are ‘official remakes’. meaning when a movie successfully runs in one language, other language industries buys copy rights from producers and remake them. you cant ‘copy’ an Indian movie within India without permission due to copy rights issue. thats why most of them have same names also

Because many people in North Don't know South Indian language, if it was not remaked they will never going to see these incredible movies👍. Remakes are happened in every industry...There is nothing wrong making remakes like "Arjun Reddy" as "Kabhir Singh"..the real problem comes when they remake movies like "Vettai"as "Baghi 3" or "Kshanam" as " Baghi 2"
Not all them are copies. They are usually remakes after purchasing the original rights. For eg Ghajni’s rights were bought by Amir Khan who also got the same Tamil director Murugudas to direct the movie. Also, most of Priyadarshan’s movies were remade into Hindi from Malayalam with the same Director. Here are a few Hindi originals made into Tamil: Wednesday, 3 Idiots, Munnabhai MBBS, etc etc So, chill out all you madrassis out there.

Actually the Directors of those film also from the south.. That's why so many remakes happening there.. Eg: Priyadarsan (Director from malayalam who made 2nd most films in hindi).
