The woods used in making of chariot, once rath yatra gets over used are dismantled n those wooden logs are used for cooking purpose. The amount of woods used in making of chariot is sufficient enough to use it for cooking it for whole year. The idols of lord Jagannath and his siblings are incomplete for a reason n the reason is God wants to let us know that nobody is perfect in this world n we all are incomplete n in perfect in someway or other. N if u see closely the idols are of different color symbolise the various ethnicity of people in this world. Some are black n some are white. If Gods could stay in harmony n peacefully then we should not fight with each other n discriminate one another based on skin color. Devi Subhadra, sister of Lord Jagannath n lord Bhalavadra symbolises the importance of women in a family. If u understand hinduism, u will learn a lot about our society n the world from cosmos to various ethnicity, to various conflicts everything u could learn a lot from hinduism. Hinduism is the oldest religion to be ever existed in this planet.

I'm from Khurda 60 kms away from Puri. I always had a desire to take part in the grand procession of Rath Yatra. Finally I got that opportunity in the year 2015 when the trinity lords got a new form (Navakalebar). I and my two friends labour hard to reach very close to the chariots to take a closer view of lords. That moment was so beautiful and mesmerizing. I have seen onedevotee above 60 yrs age there that one can't imagine in that rush an old man can reach that point. How that spirit come to drag such and old man to that point. That we felt a miracle. I've got chance to enter into the temple many times and have experienced some miracles inside the temple premises. 🙏🙏🙏 Jai Jagannath🙏🙏🙏

All Raths are dismantled and the logs are used in Mrga kitchen of Jagannath Mandir. As it is largest kitchen in the world and uses mainly wood chulhas for cooking the Bhog (food tribute for Bhagwan). After offering Bhog to Bhagwan, it is distributed among devotees- now the food is called Prasaad. And finally, the Raths are not mainly painted, but decorated by long cloths. Thank you.

Ji gold ki baat maat kare, yaha suna besa ( gold dress up) rituals he. Itni gold he ki app pagal ho jayenge 😂😂. Isshh saal bhi general public ko allow nehi tha. Article 144 imposed tha. Trains bhi band kardiye. Neem ka jo trees cut kiya jata he oo madir trust ka khud lagaya hua hota he. Esa nehi ki jungle ko kaat ke deforestation kia geya ho. 👍👍

In the very starting of video you whispered Kedarnath as a shrine in North among Chardham , but it was Badrinath . Look there are two types of Chardham ,the first is according to Mahabharata , in which Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri are considered as the Chardham . While the second no. is established by Adi Guru Shankaracharya in the 10th century , which are Badrinath(North) , Dwaraka (west) , Rameshwaram(south ) and Puri (North). these were established for the revival of Hinduism , which was facing tough compitition from Buddhism .

Some statements don't match with real one. Actual; when the king opened the door found no one except the half structured idols. That oldman was disappeared. King was shocked and felt guilty. Old Chariots are dismantled after Rath Jatra. The Sarathi(One drives the Chariot), Other Deities of the chariots(present at the height of the wheel), Top part of Chariots( having parrots and Kalash) are kept and reused in the next year till NABAKALEBAR. The wheels are given to other temples on requisition for worshiping . Rest woods are used in the temple for making daily Prasad .
