This movie was not a cinematic masterpiece but still very good, specially the way Kedarnath was captured, the cinematography is mesmerizing. The music by Amit trivedi is soulful specially the song "Namo namo", still gives me goosebumps. The performances by both Sushant and Sara were superb, sadly media made the film more about Sara that time as it was her debut. I remember visiting Kedarnath at the age of 12, it was surreal experience for me and hence this movie holds a special place in my heart ❤ Namo shankara 🕉🙏

One of the things what I love about this movie is Sushant's strength on carrying the woman on his back while being a Pithu. Immense stamina. He was asked to use a double but he refused... That's how original fearless hardworking individual he was.. Kudos to SSR!!

I visited Kedarnath in 2012. Name of the horse guy was Asif and the horse's was Kareena. Such a nice chap. He helped me and my dad all the way. I revisited Kedarnath in 2014. Was shocked to see the difference, except the temple everything, literally everything was washed away. But was hit me the most is the thought that Asif n Kareena might be no more. 🙏
The whole movie is based on a real incident where there were floods in Kedarnath. Kedarnath is a riligious pilgrinage for Hindus and every year lakhs of people visit there not only hindus but people from every religion. And the location is real its Kedarnath in India.

In the real incident The Kedarnath temple was the only structure that survived the storm from the whole of Kedarnath. Imagine the architecture and engineering of the ancient builders of this temple implemented.

Exactly. Gully Boy can be compared to ms Dhoni. Ms Dhoni was inspired from Dhoni who's one of the best batsmen world have seen and gully boy is inspired from divine who's one of the best rappers in india. Gully Boy gave light to almost 18 underground hip hop artists and helped them grow. More than Kangana ever did for anyone in her career.

@Safwan g it had quite a few scenes that were similar and copied but that doesn't change the fact that the movie changed underground hip hop scene. And maybe storyline was kinda copied but acting from Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt was amazing and was equivalent to acting by Shraddha Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput in chichore. Both were amazing movies and both deserved an award but calling gully boy trash was cheap of Kangana when she doesn't have any good movies that helped struggling artists.

You didn't notice one thing, In a scene where there was a heavy water inflow and a wave took over that temple in a form of a snake. Actually that temple belongs to Lord Shiva, who is replicated by wearing accessories of live snakes. Snakes are one of the most prominent creature in Lord Shiva's life.

And also, the acting done by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt was directly comparable to Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor. I would even say that Sushant was a great actor but Ranveer Singh is better than him. Just because he died doesn't mean he's better actor, though I'm not denying the fact that he was a good actor.

Kedarnath is a hindu pilgrimage sight in Uttarakhand. There was a big cloud burst back in 2014, causing destruction and floods and believe me it was very very very terrifying. Surprisingly everything was destroyed except the temple. Nothing happened to it. You should watch more of his work bro.

The reason it suddenly became darker was because of the clouds the reason for that is before the day of floods in Uttarakhand the area experienced heavy reainfall non stop for 2 days so the color palette changed to give that effect
