Last weeks trip to Reno found some 9/6 jacks on quarters played a long time had fun,I know most on youtube think it’s like watching paint dry.But I am after the Royal!
@@LuckyScratchersSlotsLike peppermill.I usally play what they call the tax special, bonus poker or j/b.quarters,a royal pays 1,199.00.so just under a handpay.
Hi Jeff, I’m glad you’re able to get to Vegas as often as you do. That time of year is nice too. It’s not quite as crowded & the holiday decor is always nice to see. Good luck. Keep us posted on your jackpots. I’ll be headed to Hard Rock Tampa, Florida around that time frame so I won’t be able to make it to Vegas this time. Thank you for the heads-up. Knock’em out!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Brilliantly timed move at the end. By the way folks, while Pala has great pay tables, you can not use free(they call it added) play at any video poker or video keno machine. I know, I just tried again a few days ago.😥
Thank you for the kudos, Bill. And, yes, it’s very disappointing to not be able to use free play on video poker there. Still, I take the added play and put it through the “Wild Cherry” slot machine, & cash it out those wins (coupled with my own) to hit quads with!😆 But you’re right, it’s such a chore to take that detour to cash-in your free play and apply it towards video poker. Thank you for your comment. That’s a very good point!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Greetings from Torrance! Great example of when to move up and when to move down. Paying attention to the bankroll and most of all.....being patient! I think I told you about a double double game that Jo had shown me, that was paying out like there was no tomorrow. Unfortunately I couldn't step up the denomination. But I will take a small win over a big loss any day! Take care and see you at Pala!
Hi Paul, I’m glad you all had fun in Vegas. So cool that Jo hit 2 Royals. And you’re right, “A small win is better than a big loss any day!” Take care. Greetings to Mom & the family!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopoker Thanks John! Jo actually hit a 3rd royal playing dream card on nickel denomination. She was actually killing that game and between all of the quads and the Royal, cashed out more than 500 bucks! She had an incredible week of fun! Take care!
Hi John, wondering what your thoughts are on Temecula Gambling Pechanga and Pala. My wife and I have noticed the VP machines are so much tighter than years past? Do the casinos control the RNG? We used to have fun. Now we have no luck at all after 5 hours of play. Just wondering.
Pechanga & Pala support video poker pay tables that are among the best in the country. Everything is dictated by the pay table. The RNG is completely random and untampered with. Pechanga has 8/5 Bonus Poker at all denominations. But they have recently added some new machines (to replace their oldest machines) and these new machines, have bad pay tables on certain games. 8/5 Bonus Poker (from bottom to top) pays: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 40, 125, 200, 400, 250, & 4,000 coins. If you see any 8/5 Bonus Poker pay table that pays less than these payouts, then don’t play that machine for that game. Lowered pay tables mean the casino “holds” more money for themselves on certain hands. Only play on a pay table that has the best payouts. Therefore, you have to inspect a pay table first, to make sure that the assigned payouts have not been lowered to “favor” the house. Most machines at Pechanga & Pala have excellent pay tables.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Hey John, when you change denoms and games is the probability the same or does the RNG start over everytime you switch? Like would that 4 of a kind been there if you stayed on Bonus?
The probability of the game is set by the pay table itself and doesn’t change no matter what the denomination is. The RNG, however, is always in motion, 24/7/365 whether the game is being played or not. It is constantly shuffling the cards thousands of times per second. Even when the player is holding 4 to the Royal & only needs 1 card to hit the Royal Flush, the 47 cards that remain in the deck are constantly being shuffled in that last remaining card space. In fact, it is shuffling so fast that the card that the player needs to hit the Royal is “always there” & is “always NOT there” to be selected when the player hits the button. So the player has a very real, albeit random chance, of hitting that last card for the Royal. Each denomination may have it’s own RNG (though I’m not sure) but it seems that when I play a game that “is rolling” & I switch denominations, suddenly the machine isn’t rolling like it was. So I suspect that each denomination has it’s own RNG. Even the folks at IGT couldn’t tell me the answer to that question (and I know them all very well). However, since everything is random, it shouldn’t matter, because of the constant shuffling by all the RNG’s. I have found that when on a game that is rolling, to stay on that denomination to max out your wins. But at the same time, if “I’m up” on House money I’ll switch denominations anyway & take my chance for a bigger win. It has hit many times for me in switching to higher denominations, so I keep “upping the denom” all the time and have caught many big Royals that way.😉🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Just noticed after my comment something that shows the sometime frustration in switching to a higher percentage game with a lower quad payout, In this case switching to JOB as opposed to BP, and getting quad 2s. It goes to show that you can make the correct move, I agree with the switch, and still come out at the short end sometimes. Glad to see you didn't whine about it.
Yes…I just missed those bonus quad 2’s hitting on 8/5 Bonus Poker for $400 (on the $2 coin denomination) but hitting $250 was a nice hit too. And it gives me more ammo to continue on! It’s all!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
For a serious deep-dive video poker session (where you dig-in and square-off with the machine to go “Mano a Mano”), I recommend a minimum of a 1,000 coin bankroll (on whichever coin denomination that you’re playing on). If you’re playing on the more volatile games, then I recommend double or triple that amount to be able to fade the heat of that kind of volatility. Thank you. Great question!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Hi John wanted to let you know there’s a vintage video poker machine at a thrift store in Escondido looks like it works, takes coins and bills not sure if it’s something you’d be interested in. They want $500 for it.
@@johnsworldofvideopoker it’s the consignment thrift store on east valley pkwy in the same plaza as wrangler bbq and agrusas sandwich shop. Rose and valley pkwy. The machine looks way older but is says 2003. The screen is somewhat small and the game is called double double jackpot. I have a picture I could send you not sure how to direct message you.
Slotmassacre & I are very close & great friends and I featured him in a lot of my earlier videos. In fact, he helped me get started on RU-vid and helped me launch my channel, as well as, my very first video. We’re brothers from another mother. Besides….isn’t imitation the highest form of flattery? I love & respect him a lot. He came along and changed my life in so many ways. Thank you for your comments.😉🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Even on a "full pay" 9/6 Jacks or Better if you don't hit a royal, which is the norm, payback falls to 97.? Are you compensated by the casino for the intro? Either way, enjoy the work you put in.
Thank you for your kind words. None of the casinos that compensate me for featuring them in my videos. I’ve been “talked about” in several board meetings at various casinos and I hear that they like my videos featuring them, but none of them have cut a deal with me yet. I do have one potential deal that I’m working on with a local casino and I’m waiting for final approval to film there, but there’s no definitive deal worked out yet. Thanks for asking.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@Morongobill That would be nice, however, my channel isn’t that “big” yet, and my reach is small; but I do have some plans under development to get to 25,000 subscribers by year end 2024. That may get their attention and we’ll go from there. Thank you for your seeing value in my work, Bill. I appreciate that.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Watching you go up and down the dollar amount bet and switching between the games was very educational. Thoroughly enjoyed it as always. Does Pala have 9/6 BP Dlx?
Hi Kirt, Great to hear from you! Yes…Pala features 9/6 BPD on the $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $25 coin denominations (even on the progressive machines, as well). Thank you for your comments.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopoker we are taking my son Brian and his wife away for the weekend. They both work so hard and need a weekend away to enjoy some time together🥰
John, enjoy your videos; well produced and good content. I notice you lean towards single line; is there a multi-line game you like? We enjoy those and find it hard to go back to just single line. Thanks!
The volatility of a multi-line game is lower than single-line play, so at higher denominations the lower volatility can withstand higher bet amounts, generate a lot of comps for the player, and if a really big hand happens to be dealt to the player, huge wins can result in $100’s of thousands of dollars (and in some cases) $1,000,000. But waiting for a perfectly “dealt-hand” takes forever. I prefer to save up a lot of house money, then go play it through a high coin denomination single-line game for big wins ($50,000-$200,000). I’ve hit $100,000 before, but I’m focused on Re-building a house-money bankroll to play on a $25, $50, & $100 coin denomination machine. I do so great value in playing multi-line games, but they are not my focus at this time. If I were to play them, I would play Jacks or Better or Bonus Poker.
@@johnsworldofvideopoker thanks for the explanation and it makes sense. I think another big difference is that we are more recreational players where you have more of a vested financial interest. Don't get me wrong; we still enjoy the big wins but like some of the options of SELECT multi-line games.
