Wow, this vid *really* reminded me of when I lived in my truck for two years. Captures the loneliness and freedom well; like eating alone in the diner, being excited to talk to literally anyone who will listen from the lack of consistent friends, finding random fields to tuck away for the night and enjoying the freedom of being by yourself and living independently. But also the insecurity of the situation (gas station scene) and sometimes just being lonely and feeling like what the heck am I doing with my life. Such a good song and video! Wow! If I could frame it, I would!!!!

Their music releases this year helped me out of a very turbulent year and this song gives me a sense of victory. I'm 18 now but the 17th year of my life held great memories with a person whom I loved. I lost them and almost this whole year we've been apart I've tried to put those memories of them and them behind me. This whole time their departure consumed me and deteriorated every ounce of worth I'd felt before. But a little while back something just clicked inside of me and a path just laid itself out for me and I just feel like I've gotta run through it now. Referencing the line: “shake my past of seventeen” and the theme of running in this song.
