Paladin on Turtle WoW - How Good is it? 

good advice, I solo high end content and I hear paladins constantly complaining about mana issues. Downranking your spells, especially consecrate, helps a lot.

@@Anudorini-Talah No it isn't. Also, seal twisting is shiet, and if you have to do that annoying task to max your toon's potential, that is outdated design that is easily fixable. You should be able to have a rotation without a gimmick like that.

Downrank some of your spells, judge a wisdom some of the time. As a tank I have noticed few if any other paladins ever do so. Too many paladins go full burst when they don't need to right off the start.

@@Psilocybin77 People always downrank spells and judge wisdom, this is common knowledge, part of the meta and has been since 2004. Ret is simply trash in PVE in this version of Warcraft and all the arguing and or debating will never change that. There are simple fixes for it that were realized by WOTLK and people who worship og Vanilla like a cult refuse to acknowledge it. Ret mana management was atrocious, and no amount of downgrading and judging wisdom fixes it.

Do you know the names of the weapons that have 100% spell scaling? or ones that are most optimal for Spell Ret.

Never did I ever say I wanted them to top dmg charts? Right now they are FAR from the top. I already said in the video that Protection & Holy feels great, only Retribution is lacking. Even before it was the second most played class, like you said, yes. BUT, was RETRIBUTION the most played spec? Hell to the absolute fucking no. 50% Holy, 45% Prot, 5% Ret. Even less Ret if you exclude the Esfand fanboys. On Turtle WoW, it's the most popular one due to a few factors, including the amount of changes they have received. Like for example Crusader Strike & Holy Strike at low levels. BUT, EVERY SPEC gets Crusader Strike & Holy Strike, improving EVERY Paladin Spec. For Retribution-only, they've gotten one improvement that "helps" with their mana usage, which in reality restores 20-40 mana per Judgement Cast. This would equal to a mana potion if the fight encounter was 10 minutes long, which is horrible. What I suggested, was to give them their Wrath talent to help with mana sustainability, and to improve their single-target damage, because the 2 new abilities we have gotten, which are great, are for EVERY SINGLE PALADIN SPEC. Retribution feels horrible concidering it brings nothing to the table that a Protection Paladin can't to better, especially while leveling. Until level 30, Ret feels good. Past level 30, Prot Paladins can literally take down a mob single-target just as quickly as ret, with less mana breaks, less risk (survival-wise due to Shield & taking less dmg) and less downtime. For not to talk about the insane difference in AoE Damage when it comes to solo scenarios. Try leveling 1-60 as Retribution and tell me otherwise. The actual improvements Retribution have gotten provide the bare minimum impact and they could've done so much more to make Retribution viable, fun & competitive.

Secondly, I've been watching every video that you've released in the past 3 weeks, and really liked them. And you - among a few others - have reignited my interest for WoW yet again, and the reason that I started playing there around 2 weeks ago. Now onto the subject... I know what you ment about retri paladins. They've not been improved as much, and aren't on pair with the other pala specs. But maybe the other specs are too good? And however little, retri has been improved. I can't help but compare pala to shamans, even rogues, but especially with warriors. And especially against warriors, the paladins have the upper hand. Try leveling as arms below lvl 30. Warriors have to eat or bandage after every other mob, sometimes after every one. And shamans, especially enhancement, don't have that great mana sustain. None of the classes do. Granted, some are better than others. But none to the extent of the latter expansions - not even close. My point being, if retri got buffed even more, they might become game-breaking. And we definitely don't want that, certainly not for a class that enjoys so much popularity as it is.

@sproosemoose9348 when paladin mains cry for buffs it takes a warrior main to put them back in their place

Talisman of Transendence from Argent Dawn makes threat generation pretty damn easy. I rarely if ever have to spend mana and globals on using the crappy taunt. Mana management should be part of the class, and it's not hard to down rank some spells. Judge a wisdom every once in a while. I solo end game dungeons and it amazes me how few paladins know how to use their abilities effectively.

Also, let the locks die. They need to learn to not go ham before you even get near a boss.

From what I seen. there seems to be this fear, that paladins will become able to do everything all at once. They don't want them to do the dps. While also not wanting them to be a true hybrid and have other things to aid to the party beside dps. Which just leads to this odd position. Where they go down the dps tree but are not allowed to be dps but also lack addition benefits hybrid in other games world offer to give them a reason why you would want them in the party.

I mean a paladin should not be on the same dps level as a pure melee class but it's necessary to make them all day viable. I would like to see a change where paladins are in B Tier damage

Then vanilla is nothing for you if you dont like slow.

​@@Anudorini-Talah He's not talking about character progress, it's the fight mechanic of a paladin. It's just dull compared to other melee classes. And that's the paradox behind it, it's a hybrid class but has the lowest viable versatility. Hybrids are forced to choose a singular role otherwise they will always underperform in any other role.

​@@manxy.People tend to forget warriors are also a hybrid class, they are tanks and DPS. Shamans also have two roles. Why shouldn't these hybrids be on par?

They're good enough to consistently be in raids. JoCrus gives you 25x chance to proc your weapon effects, so once you hit 60 you use sp gear and proc based weps w spell effects and enchants. They aren't top but they're much better than vanilla

For me, make sure window mode and maximized re both checked on under video settings. Then adjust resolution to what you prefer
