The high elf models were actually made a bit “jankier” in their animations to make them fit the vanilla feel! It’s more obvious once you play as them but their running animations are definitely different
Those custom intros for goblins and especially high elves were so good if i never played WoW before i would think that these were official intros and races made by blizzard
The mysterious stranger allows you to play hardcore mode, but you have to talk to him at level 1. It's a bit weird that he still has the quest marker when you're no longer able to get the quest though.

*Warmode (with Glyph of War) increases XP gains by 30 % from all sources *Tents (they're almost always up in Goldshire and Crossroads) quickly maxes out your rested XP *There are lots of quests added to the game These changes make leveling go much quicker compared to OG Vanilla, so one can do endgame activities earlier :)
@DenionGaming2 its a crappy mangos core. the custom content is extremely bad and buggy.. community are soyboy whiteknights for their server. its fairly cringe. Avoid.
Highly recommend this server for everyone. The 2000 active players is now closer to 3 and things are really lookin good. Will say the leveling is pretty nice. Turning on war mode increases xp by 30% and there are tents you can make to increase rested xp.
Been on Twow for like 2 months now and honestly feels like I’m playing 18 years ago during vanilla. I’m fiend to get on after work and such. Haven’t had that for a long time for a wow. Love it!
@@slyzetv7850 really? I mean I think its cheap that people can not be flagged for pvp and still attack pvp players, but I've had a blast with my little pvp battles here and there. Havent done bgs yet.

I remember playing right when this server launched, glad it's still around and doing well. Will definitely check it out, looks very interesting. Glad some proper custom servers exist these days. Hoping for a return of Chaos Crusade someday.
It's wild to see a version of WoW made by someone who actually loves Warcraft and isn't just trying to radically transform it to something else. The goblin models seem so faithful to origins.
I agree. Turtle is going down a path of "what if we just continued where Warcraft 3 left off without going ballistic starting in TBC?" and I like that.

Hit 60 today, have a really great time. The mysterious stranger enables hardmode at lvl 1. There are two other modes, Warmode and slow and steady. You can see the rewards on their website!

I went to Hinterlands as a Hordie. It was somewhat fun, but I will say the zone definitely had a feel of "was made with Alliance in mind almost exclusively." Big ups to the Revantusk Trolls, tho

Surprised that they chose the Venture Company for the Goblins over the Steamwheedle which has/had in-lore relations with the Horde through Gazlowe as far back as Warcraft III.
shaman eh? depending on the race you get a unique spell like priests do. Also enhancement get Bloodlust (not the TBC version, more like a single target power infusion for physical dps)

For those wondering the Mysterious Stranger offers a quest when you first make a character to play in a "hardcore" mode which if your character dies it's gone forever but if you make it to max level then you can rez it's a very fun challenge but be prepared for sadness haha good luck :)
I've been playing twow since August 2020. And honestly, I haven't felt the need to play another wow server ever again. Twow just does about everything I want a private server to do, I absolutely love it
The reason why I don't play Classic even though I like the design is that I just don't want to play a solved/old game. Some fresh content in the spirit of Classic sounds really nice tbh
While Amani Trolls and Ogres are options for the Horde, I wonder what sort of choices the Alliance would have. With the addition of High Elves, there's little to no options for the Alliance of the Eastern Kingdoms. They'd probably have to add Furbolgs.
@@theoutlander1411 Until now, the Barskin Furbolgs is the best option.....Idont think Draenei or the Worgen should be the best option(at least for now).
It does sometimes. I want to go back and replay Chronotrigger but I'd never mention graphics there despite knowing they're really bad for today's standards. Wow is an mmo and it's ever changing though and you should (imo) expect consistent graphics updates among other things to "keep with the times". In this case I also used the og graphics for like 8 years and would rather see the new ones now tbh, they're easier on the eyes and have more pixels.
I decided to try Duskhaven and Turtle. I had already played primal wow so I know vanilla with WoTLK talents is too unbalanced, I'm a lvl 8 undead hunter in turtle wow now and it's awesome. It really feels like a continuation for vanilla content, even the new zones have that feel. Great job.

Some tips: 1)Shiftclick + rightclick to loot all 2)The Mysterious Stranger is for the HARDCORE mode, you go to him at lv 1 to start HC so when you die the character actually is Deleted. This mode awards you with Custom Item and Turtle coin that are used to buy custom mounts, illusions, and some gameplay bonuses like repair bot, summon mailbox, summon bank, summon talent changes etc... 3)Looking for turtles and Looking for group are almost the Same but it doesn't make you tp at the dungeon and also you can be in a party with the opposite faction for dungeons. 4)There is a merchant at all starting zone that sell you MODES for you character like :"War mode" that increase 25% exp but you are always in PVP untill lv 60, "Slow and steady" mode that slow exp BUT you gain some items leveling and at lv 60 you get the custom item "sword of a thousand truths" from the south park episode and some Turtle coins 5) There is a new Skill you can learn in Vietnam map called Survival, this skill when level up can make you create Tents wich are shareble and stacked with other tents wich increase REALLY FUCKING FAST the rest Exp when you stay online under them.
Goblins racials should be changed, instead of mining skill they should have a higher chance to find rare ore in the veins. Lets say Silver is a rare version of tin, gold is rare version of iron etc. Goblins can random find an extra silver inside tin, not only that, also a higher chance to find gems, so arcane crystal etc. Granted that one might be overpowered, everyone and their mom would have to make a goblin miner then. But it fits thematicly that goblins can spot even the tiniest spark of gold in an iron vein
Imagine how much more people would've liked wow if we got high elves iin the alliance nstead of blood elves in the horde. If they add Ogres(with working armor) for the horde and Worgen for the Alliance would be fucking dope

28:56 Vanilla DID have an appropriate amount of quests, it just forced you to travel the world to find them, no theme parking your way through the continents. But TWoW dumptrucks hundreds of new and custom quests into things now as well. I think Mysteries of Azeroth 1.16.1 actually introduced another 150 quests into the world.
@@TheZajic23 I know, I actually really like the plethora of new quests added to tWoW, brings a new feeling of life to the game, often in places that were, while nice looking, you had no real reason to even look at let alone explore. Fixing to fire up my old account and get back to playing again this weekend. It's gonna be fun, I think, might roll a new character, too.
just because thats how it used to be, doesnt mean it was a good way to go about it. honestly the questing in vanilla was terrible. you would constantly be able to grab quest well about your ability to complete them and having to travel thousands of miles to complete a single quest was aggravating, especially for how little XP they gave. it was a complete waste of time to do any of them. I spent most of my time in vanilla just mob grinding and buying cheap gear off the AH rather than get a pittance of XP for hours of travel.
@@Kevin-pv6px In Vanilla I played Horde, so I can't speak for Alliance, but I was an alt-o-holic. On Horde there were exactly enough quests to get to 60 without grinding, but you had to do pretty much all the quests, including all dungeon quests. But, if you did it, then you did not need any dungeon spam nor grinding to get to 60. However, if you started in a zone too early, therefore most likely skipping a different zone, then you really needed some grind.
damn high elves were so cool back in warcraft 3. Spellbreaker has always been my favorite class and I think its the class I want to main most in dungeons and dragons. Spellbreaker was basically a tank that specialized in anti magic. Interesting enough, as heavy armor they were also most vulnerable to magic lol. i think that got changed later on, but yeah, they had big ass shields and specialized in being tanks even though their hp wasnt very high, they were still pretty tanky for being effectively a spell caster. So in dnd thats a cleric right. its a full caster that can wear armor, but isnt a high health tank like a Paladin. I wish Spellbreaker would exist in WoW. Its such a cool and unique class. it would be like a combination of priest and mage except it wears heavy armor, has a shield, and fights in melee, but has the ability to purge enemy buffs and even can steal their powerups for himself or his allies. High Elf Spellbreakers man, missed opportunities.

Do the goblins start off with neutral rep with Thunder Bluff and the High Elves neutral with Darnassus? Feels like that would make sense because the Tauren wouldn't be happy that you're former Venture Co. and of course the two elf races have history in lore.
