Paladin, The Complete Story: Final Fantasy 14 Lore 

This class/job's story has such weird ups and downs. The gladiator and paladin segments didn't mesh well together for me. The paladin parts were just weird coming away from helping Aldis to suddenly trying to become a paladin, while I get that the paladin isn't really a holy warrior like they are in D&D, tying them to gladiatorial combat seems a really far cry from being a member of a knighthood of protectors. Aldis completely losing it when he realized how strong we were at the end was a hilarious conclusion to the current active class story. Great video! Thanks for summarizing everything and giving me a refresher on what happened with my main class!

Aldus is a huge troll, I love him. But overall I feel like the PLD questline had way more potential than what we ended up getting. Just compare it to DRK or WAR.

It's sad that the gladiator quest feels like it's concerned with protecting the innocent/saving lives from those who would prey upon them, and investigating shady dealings/fighting bandits, while the Paladin questline has you gaslighting another paladin before beating the shit out of him in heavensward, seeking new fights, and engaging in duels with other paladins.

I had heard this story was such a goddamn mess, So I decided to find a story guide to catch myself before buying a PAL boost. Thanks for the recap, mate!
