100% recomended, is like a drug

I also bag all the pieces per player board & Paladin cards in one bag each, and flattening the money/etc in a large bag. It's still a very tight fit but works.

Well... personally, I like smaller boxes.

They did, as the big box comes with custom sleeves.

@@JerzyMuller well, all of the series have custom card size - even raiders do as they share artist. This year portal that distributes this in Poland decided to be the sleeve distributor as nobody was importing them and they have rights for all games that use this size

I just played Paladins for the first time last night. There is no player interaction. The closest you get is acquiring cards from a shared board.

Three years later but wanted to say I struggle with analysis paralysis and in the one game I've played so far, it's been a problem only on one of the last turns. The variable objectives really help focus your strategy. I like games that give you these kinds of missions to help you cut through the sea of options yourself without taking the options away.

why does bigger mean more durable?

@@nathanlige2961 there is one point of view that has been crying that main boxes that are anything bigger than minimal required for the base game (no expansions) are a waste of materials and is one of the main problems with hurting the enviroment/ waste of materials/ hurts my feelings. box size generally has nothiing to do with durability as its the materials not the size that determine that. the problem is when you minimalize the base game box you end up with games that when they have expansions or if you want to make an organizer to store a game so its easier to set up/ tear down and put away you would be unable to do so, due to lack of space. while i agree that expansions really should have minimal packaging as most people combine main game and expansions into one box for ease of storage when you have minalized the main box you now have a bunch of boxes taking up more room for a game that will be played less because often its now work to set up and tear down because of more mixing of cards/etc before the game as well as required seperating after a games over just to put the game away. one of the solutions i do enjoy and i think it has really shown there is a possible solution is when expansions can be bought with minimal packaging because they understand that the expansion will end up being combined so they try to create less waste that way.

There is interaction in the middle board. You want convert that outsider that gives you victory points for garrisons you put out on the board. The other player has an outsider that gives VP for each outsider attacked. Do you go after that for your benefit or deter his ability to gain VPs? Another player may have the same idea. There are spots that get you more workers. Use commision or garrison to cover those spots. More workers give you more actions and then it's done unless you have better attributes for the other spots availabe. The king's favor gives you extra workers or can turn over a debt. That's a spot to get but the other players might have the same idea. do you use a crucial worker to get that spot before he does? or focus on your Paladins' ability to convert. I would say it isn't direct interaction like Architects but it's there.

In a live stream they said they made it a bag builder at first, but a Playtester was like "this is kind just Orleans" so they went out and bought Orleans just to try it and they saw the similarities and took the bag building out of it.

The only similarity is that you can cover spots with the green buildings like the gears in Orleans. You have a little more control of what workers you get from the tavern rather than a random bag draw. The paladins offer a temporary boost of the attributes needed so you can plan accordingly to what workers are available in the tavern. The game is fantastic solo which likely I'll play more because my wife might find it too complicated.

I agreed. Buildings are like the cogs, cheapening future moves. I like the cards for workers instead of blind draw.

@@untilmay9323 Have you ever played Orleans? To take an action, you place workers the exact same way here as in Orleans. Except that in Orleans, you draw workers from a bag, randomly. To use an action, you fill up the action space.

Hell yeah, it does. The action spaces reminded me of the workers and the cogs.

My thoughts exactly. I like the Mico's card art but this is just not interesting enough to look at, never mind staring at it and playing for hours on end.

hugesinker adding more buildings would make the player board look too crowded.
