Today we will Delhi's famous Palak Patta Chaat Recipe. It is also called as Spinach Pakora Chaat and Palak Pakora Chaat. This Palak chaat recipe is very easy to make and it requires very little time and very less ingredients. Palak Patta chaat recipe is crisp and fried spinach fritters topped with spicy green chutney, tangy and sweet tamarind date chutney and onions, sev, and spice mixes. This is a unique and simple way of making an Indian chaat recipe with deep-fried spinach leaves fritters. unlike other popular chaat recipes, in this chaat recipe, the palak leaves are deep-fried with spiced besan coating and topped with chaat ingredients. this chaat recipe is generally served as a starter just before the meal, but can also be served as a late evening snack or dinner meal.
Palak Patta Chaat is a healthy appetizer and is a great snack for evening tea. Spinach leaves are coated with besan batter, deep-fried, and then drizzled with curd, chutneys, and masalas.
Ingredients for Palak Patta Chaat are:-
Prep Time - 15 minutes
Cooking Time - 15 minutes
12-15 FRESH SPINACH LEAVES
OIL for Frying
For Batter:-
1 CUP GRAM FLOUR(Besan)
1 TBSP CORNFLOUR
1 TBSP RICE FLOUR
1 TSP RED CHILLY POWDER
½ TSP TURMERIC POWDER
SALT TO TASTE
WATER as required
For Plating:-
MINT CORIANDER CHUTNEY
TAMARIND CHUTNEY
SWEET CURD
SALT TO TASTE
CHAAT MASALA
CUMIN SEEDS POWDER
RED CHILLY POWDER
POMEGRANATE
SEV
ALOO LACHA
FRESH CORIANDER LEAVES
Method -
1) Wash the spinach leaves.
2) Take besan and add salt, rice flour, cornflour, red chilly powder, and turmeric powder.
3) Mix all the dry ingredients.
4) Now add water as required and make a semi-thick batter.
5) Heat up the oil, then medium-high the flame.
6) Now dip the spinach leaves in the batter and fry them until they turn crisp and golden brown in color.
7) Now take a plate and put fried spinach leaves.
8) Pour curd, both the chutneys.
9) Sprinkle some salt, chaat masala, cumin seeds powder, red chilly powder.
10) Drop some pomegranate, fresh coriander leaves, sev, and aloo ke lache.
Your delicious Palak Patta Chaat is ready.
