And there’s so much more to why cuss words are ‘bad’ other than ‘free speech’ this and ‘censorship’ that. Catholic Christianslike myself love God so much that we don’t want to re- offend God in even the slightest venial sin, like the replaying of a cuss word of a song over and over again. Christ has suffered enough because of how much we sinned, it’s really about loving Jesus to the point that we don’t want to add to another slap on his face/ spit on his face. A face that longs to look into your eyes to tell you, ‘do you not see how much I love you? I endure humiliation and scourging, pouring blood endlessly to show you how far I’ll go to save you, to heal you, show you how much I long for you to love me back…’ Love isn’t love if it’s forced, not even God can force us to love Him, because then it wouldn’t be love at all, would it? How badly he wants us to reach Heaven, because it’s eternal happiness he wants and has in mind for each one of us. We long for heaven, we long for God, restless are our hearts until they rest in the Lord. That’s why nothing on Earth ever satisfies, nothing is ever ‘perfect’ which is ironic cuz that’s exactly the type of ‘homeostasis’ if you will, that everyone strives for. Call it whatever you want, the American dream, be rich, a good house, no money worries, fame, whatever the case is, we are always searching. Why do you think breakups suck? Because we were made to love, to be loved, ACTUALLY loved… Completely, exclusively, without condition, for who we are, forever, a loyal love, a fierce love, and only a love like that I found in Jesus. Who was there to pick me up when I was in shambles and getting out of addictions / traumatic abuse. That’s why I still listen to Palaye Royale, because I recognize the hurt, they soothed the hurt in a time in my life when I was still trying to figure out how to live in a state of grace, when I was going to confession/ frequenting the sacraments/ consulting with a holy priest and spiritual director who got me and my life on track for the better. I apologize for my long winded response of a read, but if you take one thing, I hope you’ll take this. God loves you, maybe you don’t know what that means, or what image is even supposed to come to mind , or ‘what’s it to meee’ kinda attitude arises. Lemme tell ya, sometimes God allows our hearts to be broken so that he can enter inside and heal us. I love you guys, please don’t judge me for my religion or love of God, I love this band just like you guys do, and I pray that these boys find the love, mercy, and healing God has to offer for them ❤️🩹
I think he struggled a bit with the flow due to having to censor himself. Completely throws off the narrative and flow of the song, and you can hear him struggling
