My mom passed 25 years and I came home motivated to create a pants for the very same reasons I sat at her hip in 7th grade and started sewing, quality garments and pants that are long enough. Using the same machine she used and loving that I found your video. It is indeed in-depth and thorough. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Can the zipper be moved to the left side

I'm delighted to find this tutorial. My sister has 53" waist and 54" hips and a 29" inseam. Finding pants to fit and that flattering is almost impossible. I am going to try to make these today. I appreciate your expertise.

Wao. You're a gifted tutor. I'm a beginner but I understand perfectly. Just a quick question, how do you determine the dart lengths? Sometimes you say 5 inches (3" with a waistband) and today you said 4". Please elaborate.

When marking the full length ,did you minus any inches for the band at the waist or u just marked your full length and added a separate inch from the main length to the band???

If I want the pants wider, much much wider at the bottom and on thighs,can I add 7 " per side of the trouser it at the bottom, Instead of 3.5"? It would be nice to have it wider, almost like a circular skirt
