Although Clint has provided many wonderful facet character roles throughout his career, his true calling was in producing and directing. A gifted story-teller. He won’t be missed because he has left behind many magnificent gifts for all of us to share.

It was such a thing of beauty that even the moron lawman himself was impressed. You can tell because his mouth was agape in shock at how perfect the bullet hole was placed 'dead center' in his big ass stupid looking forehead! Why, he was even straining to see the bullet hole in his own forehead before he smashed down stone cold dead in the dirt. I'm pretty sure his widow tracked down Clint just so she could make love with him on her dead husband's grave! So, you know... Happy Ending for one and all!

@@lukesvideogameletsplays4416The implication is that Eastwood's character is an avenging spirit killed by Stockburn and his gang. He's shown shirtless earlier and he has several gunshot wounds in a similar configuration to the ones Stockburn suffers here. Stockburn's realization is basically "You..." (Wait, I know you.) "YOU!!!" (Wait, I KILLED you!).

The Preacher was death, been brought back to deal justice to Stockburn, he couldn't be killed. The bullet holes he put into Stockburn were the opposite Stockburn killed the Preacher with years beforehand that were put into the preacher back. The Preacher put then into Stockburns front, the honorable way to kill and face death, front on. This movie is filled with these sorts of parallels.
