Just saying as a long time fan, this direction isn't great. The style has changed drastically in one song. The natural Manchester "modern" punk band sound, both in vocal accent & in artistic nature are gone. Replaced with what sounds like autotuned (or something to that regard) vocals & a mainstream sound. It feels like the sound is changing & it's only my opinion but it's not for the better. The band is losing the qualities that made it so great to listen to at the start, although again I'm only generalising as of this one track, it's just if the rest of the album is like this. Yeah not great. Just going back to the last music vid (You don't own me) & comparing these two is such an obvious difference & I don't like it. Again that's just an opinion, but that's also not to say I dislike the track. It's just I like the "older" stuff, & hope that vibe/aesthetic comes back. I'm all for bands changing their musical direction but it may cause a change in listening. ...err, yeah. Okay I'm done XD

They dont produce themselves so they dont have all control and labels need cash to survive so they defininetly will keep trends in mind (2000s music & culture is havin a Comeback etc). Changing the sound is normal tho. Idk the sonic changes feel drastic to me i guess thats what u mean too
