I think NOISES was fresh. and they perform really clean live. I thought they were very professional. Now they seem like they regressed to 90s pop bands.
@@MoxMisanthrope i think their catalog is all great music and we're just measuring levels of greatness, but honestly they didn't miss a beat on the Noises album!
@@e.mz1781 I adore that first album. From end to end it was great. A terrific mix of synth, retro, and current. I can't get into their current stuff. Tried. Heather even stated they updated their sound to something similar to Avril Lavigne. Bummer. Ah well. I have Noises. Can't go wrong.
I like how authentic this video feels, as if we're driving with them. Music videos are often carefully produced and feel somehow "disconnected" from reality whereas _Reasons To Live_ is more relatable.
If I'm being cynical I think there might have been a cut after the camera panned across to show the Vegas skyline. But you're right: this is an excellent clip of them just goofing around in the back of a car and for all the makeup and costume it feels honest and real, and most importantly, fun!
The way I see it, it’s all very candid and casual. Like something a friend would send you while they’re on a trip. It’s not “picture perfect” or produced, rather just unfiltered and raw. I’m especially reminded of this when Heather is constantly shaking off and fixing her hair which you don’t really see in other videos because as you said, they’re produced to look perfect. And that’s what I love about this video. It’s less a product, more a view of friends having a good time.
You must be new here because this is literally a super common premise for a music video, especially amongst alternative music, and has been for like four decades.
This video is cute. You can tell they were having a good time goofin' around. From what Heather's been saying in interviews, it sounds like they had a blast working on this new album. And I'm here for it! That pop-punk sound is awesome.
She looks so comfortable too! Can tell they really enjoyed themselves and I love this track, super upbeat tempo. Its like 2002 with Avril all over again
There's an interview from May 2019 saying how they were planning to release a pop punk EP before the second album came out, they clearly realised they had something way too good for it to just be an EP, and the end result is incredible! Need them to tour with the female pop punk heavyweights like Paramore, PVRIS, Stand Atlantic etc. Hot Milk fit in perfectly on the last tour
Their songs are so refreshing to listen to. I don’t know if it’s a nostalgic thing but I’ve been listening to you guys since “Television Romance” and the songs are always my favorite to listen to when I’m outside my house.
this mv is so simple but managed to be one of their best music videos! it feels so personal and I love how they're having fun and singing along together, I love it so muuuch
I discovered Pale Waves during lockdown and I have loved them ever since. I bought their merch for Who Am I and just had my merch delivered for Unwanted 🤘🏼🎸
Thank you for existing and making such relatable and amazing songs, you have helped so many with your talents 🖤🖤🖤✨✨✨✨✨ I love you and you all inspire me 😊😊😊😊
I ended up discovering pale waves on march 2024. I thought they were a pop punk band, little did I know they were not. I listened to all 3 records, now four and I'm really digging this band. Each album actually has it's own sound. I might disagree with Heather, or maybe it's because I'm a rock guy but Unwanted is my all time favorite Pale Waves record.
One thing I like about Pale Waves is hardly any intro is needed. They get straight to the point and it's fun, easy on the ears music. I've been listening to Noises a lot. Although this video is a more ride with the band type fun.
My friend Elizabeth put me into these guys and I gotta say it's one of the best discoveries in music I've had the honor of being introduced to. The way they mix the nostalgic pop rock with the modern punk sound is absolutely incredible and amazing. Keep up the great work @Pale Waves!
