Almost identical but you can tell that Palembang has better infrastructure as evidenced by its mass public transport railway system. Palembang appears to have better bridges too and there seems to be more of a hustle to it’s vibrant and bustling economy. Davao seems stale, sleepy almost for a big city. A railway system is non existent and road infrastructure looks poor

Davao has more high rise building and greener meanwhile Palembang looks chaotic and crowded but they have skytrain.

It usually takes 6-10 years to construct a modern rail system, thus making Palembang 6-10 years ahead of Davao in terms of Infrastructure. But in terms of safety, cleanliness, and quality of life, Davao is topnotch among ASEAN cities.

Alam ba ninyo na napakatandang siyudad ang Palembang city ng Indonesia kung ikompara mo sa Davao city, isipin mo naman na naging siyudad ang Palembang noong 7th century pa. Kailan ba nagkaroon ng Davao city 19th century na ang ibig bang sabihin nito napakabagal ang pagunlad ng Palembang at sobrang bilis naman ang pagunlad ng Davao at sa paningin ninyo na halos lang magkahalintulad lang ang estado ang mga dalawang siyudad na ito kaya ninyo ikinokompara. Kungsabagay di lang tayo lalayo dito lang sa Pilipinas sa kasagsagan nang pananakop ng Kastila maunlad na talaga ang lugar ng Cebu , Manila, Iloilo, at ang ebidensya mismo ay ang kasaysayan ng Pilipinas ang makapagsabi nito samantala ang Davao ay wala pa sa mapa at dito mo naman talaga makita ang pagkakaiba ng Davao.

I'd say Palembang has better infrastructure than Davao. It's a common theme we can see when we compare our cities with those of Indonesia. Realistically speaking, Indon is about 6-10 years ahead of us in infrastructure (both in their cities and inter-city infrastructure like world class expressways, national high speed trains, airport and seaport quality, which are found on all their 2 main islands Java and Sumatra. Kalimantan and Sulawesi are more similar to here in development levels). This is because Indonesia was lucky not to have ineffective presidents like Erap and Noynoy who disrupted our infrastructure focus, and held back our national development plan by about a decade (4 years of Erap before GMA took over, and 6 years of PNoy). did you know under Ramos this country was scheduled to be developed for 2020?? (Back then sa 1990s there were "Philippines 2020" slogans everywhere).. but then we had Erap.. and then Pnoy... 😒 I hope our masses have learned to leverage their votes properly. voting the wrong candidate in has real consequences for our country.

Do not compare these two cities..they have different background in terms of economy,infrastructure, and more....If you dig in the history of how this two cities progress you will be amazed of how davao got this far...

Davao looks fresh, newer, green trees and very spacious but has more new taller buildings... Palembang looks old with lots of very rundown buildings looks crowded too but very historical and interesting... and many insecure and dumb ilongoys and cebuloks bashing davao in full force in the comment section off course.... hahaha...

I am emotional to see in your video Palembang City. I worked and resided in Palembang for a year or two many years back. I like to see that Rail system and some high rise buildings. I was assigned to audit a big tire processing plant by the Musi River. My assigned house was by the river and at night I can see tigers roaming by the banks. Of course our hosing area was fenced and gated. I remember that the the company i was auditing was American. Surprise, but i learned to water ski In Musi. I was taught how by the then reigning ladies local champion in water skiing in Palembang. Coupled with a brief romantic interlude, it is easy to remember. I sincerely wish that i can visit Palembang one more time though i know through the years it has lost its "laid back" ambiance. A suggestion, maybe you use less adverse language when comparing places in different countries, instead of "versus" try "compared with". Thank you for the memories and good luck.

Davao is better clean and more highrise building than.. palenbang city is crowded and less highrise building...

Almost the same but who knows subway system tram and mrt and even highspeed will be introduce in davao. Which one comes first . Davaoi is still developing so their is more space compare to one of indonesias city its already reach its development.

Ang linis ng Davao City at dito mo siya ma appreciate pero di ka mapapa Wow kc Davao is just a typical city kc wala kang makitang extrang Ganda. Tourist spot makikita outside the city. Ngayon palang medyo nagkaroon na Yong coastal road na kabubukas pa lamang. Sana gumawa si Duterte jan na mga Magandang landmark na pwede ipagmamalaki nila tulad ng Cebu at Iloilo

Iloillo has no highrise all buildings in iloilo are low rise and few midrise . Naungasan na ang iloilo sa bacolod. Only city that has highrise in VisMin region is Cebu , Davao and CDO these city are cebuano speaking city. Other ethnicities are useless, cebuano.people carried all vismin region. It means cebuano people are smarter , braver, competitive ,superior blood , superior race in comparison to other ethnic groups in visayas-mindanao region(ilonggo,moro, waray, lumad, badjao) . The advantage of Palembang they have MRT but Davao had more Highrise Buildings . if Davao have MRT probably Davao way far better and progressive than Palembang City
