Palestinian refugees in Beirut denounce new Nakba in Gaza

As in previous years, Palestinian refugees in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, held a rally to commemorate the anniversary of the Nakba. They emphasised the importance of preserving Palestinian identity and resisting occupation.
Al Jazeera’s Zeina Khodr reports from Beirut.

people in south lebanon are doing their part in fighting, making settlers flee and targeting Israeli military. South lebanon has been bombed since October the 8th, with towns almost completely gone. if only people in jordan and eygpt fought the same way at the border. At the end of the day people in south lebanon know what its like to live under israeli occupation since israel occupied lebanon for 20 years and israel wants to steal their land too, so they will always fight for the palestinian cause. What home? Nakba is the result of stubborn Palestinians refusing to comply with their British ruler to relocate to other part of the land. It was Palestinians themselves who put up a violent struggle which resulted in bloodshed. In 1948, Palestinians were in fact just trouble making Arab immigrants who never owned the land. The claim that they were "colonized" is rubbish.

The British mandate 1921 and the Hagana forces committed unjust to the Palestinian people, killing and migrating to neighbouring countries. The British army left Palestine 1948 after the UN 1948 approved the occupation of Palestine. Nakba is the result of stubborn Palestinians refusing to comply with their British ruler to relocate to other part of the land. It was Palestinians themselves who put up a violent struggle which resulted in bloodshed. In 1948, Palestinians were in fact just trouble making Arab immigrants who never owned the land. The claim that they were "colonized" is rubbish.
