The sad truth is that many Palestinians who got Israeli neighbors found themselves surrounded by IDF and eventually were forced to leave their homes. In Hebron for example there are Palestinian houses that are completely surrounded by 'Israeli neighbors' and they cannot freely leave their home to get groceries. The question you are asking is extremely loaded. It's a small miracle that the people you interviewed still seemed fairly open-minded and bless them for that.

@adamh5466
@adamh5466 6 месяцев назад
I respect you and I believe in justice for all people. But for the life of me, I don't understand why you don't just realize that it is not 1948. What happened in the past happened in the past. You aren't going to get rid of Israel. It is never going to happen. Israel will never be replaced by an Arab Muslim state -- never. Even Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and other Sunni Islamic states, at this time, don't want to see Israel replaced by a Palestinian state, whether they say this out loud or not. We can't roll back time. The Jews aren't going to get the land that was stolen from them by Arab Muslims. Israel can't take back the thousands upon thousands of hectacres that Jews purchased in the 19th century in what is now Syria -- that land was stolen and is lost. It isn't going to be given back. Africans, probably will not get our land back that we lost to Arab colonialism, land theft and oppression. We probably are not going to get our land back. But what we can do, is look where we are today and move forward from today. Myself, as an African-American, I hope that in Africa, we can peacefully co-exist with the Arabs who moved to our continent. I don't believe in any kind of violence whatsoever, against any innocent Arab person -- that is evil. I reject anti-Arab racism like I reject all kinds of racism. What I want, is increased communication and understanding and justice. I want to see representative democracies where Africans living in certain African countries aren't enslaved, massacred, tortured and oppressed by Arabs. I want an end to racism, mass murder and oppression that certain Arab governments, Arab Occupation Governments are carrying out against the REAL African people of those lands. We are treated about 100X worse by some of these Arab Occupation Governments then Israel has ever been accused of treating Palestinians. That change won't come from violence or so-called "resistance" it will come through education and societal evolution.

I thinks it's the problem with the question itself. Remember "Israeli" is still in fact a very sensitive word for people especially Palestinians. You have to put yourself in their shoes and imagine since 1948 they've been kicked out and exiled from their own land, and they took what they call Israel as their land. So to say an Israeli come live as neighbours is a very sensitive question, but if you say as a Jew or Christian it would be no problem at all.

@@Musta8787 it’s not just that, Israeli settlers also come to the West Bank and build settlements with the backing of the Israeli government so they can justify annexing it. So of course it’s hard for people to accept Israelis as neighbours when a few years later they might claim it for Israel

as a zionist i support the peacefull independence of a palestinian entity in the west bank and gaza. i do not care what other zionists think about this opinion as far as arguing goes. Both Israel and Palestine have equall right. Israel must exist within its current agreed border as a nation that harbours the jewish culture and faith. Israel MUST be respected as historical world heritage because it preserves ancient cultural epitomes which connected much of the world. It represents 3000 years of history. Rashi Rosenzweig Lebanese and Syrians have a VERY different ancestry than Saudi Arabians and Gulf Arabs. I don’t know if you folks are delusional or completely oblivious but Lebanese and Syrians have much lighter complexions than Gulf Arabs, some Lebanese and Syrians are in fact white or white passing, because Lebanon and Syria have various ethnic backgrounds and are in the middle of 3 different continents so there is European influence, African influence, and Asian influence. Don’t get it twisted, Saudis and Gulf people are literally brown while with Lebanese and Syrians, it varies immensely.
@aliner1546
@aliner1546 4 года назад
Anthony R Judaism is a religion, but being Ashkenazi is a matter of origin. The Ashkenazim married each other and are now an independent ethnicity. That's why you can see it in DNA tests. But it's not always like that, it depends on the types of DNA companies people choose to do. There are DNA tests that have decided to remove the Ashkenazi category from their algorithm (like Living dna) so their results will show the genetic decomposition of Ashkenazim that it is typically Southern Europe, Middle East and some percentage from Eastern Europe.

Muslim Scholars are divided in that matter. Majority hold the view that they should be given the same status as Christians and Jews because the second caliph Umar (who was like a disciple of prophet Muhammad) allowed the Zoroastrians to live in the Caliphate after the muslims conquered Persia, and they have nothing to do with Judaism or Christianity. From that Most scholars agree that applies to anyone. They can practice their religion anywhere in any muslim land except the Arabian peninsula (aka modern day Saudi) because the Prophet explicitly forbid non muslims to go there as it’s a sacred land for the muslims.

I'm Israeli and I think it's pretty smart. I mean if you leave the door open you don't know what can come into your house and who can hurt your family that lives inside. it's understandable that borders must be kept, I mean look at Israel, whithout our walls we would live in hell, before the wall over 2,000 innocent civilians were killed in a matter of months in terror attacks, (before Israel existed it was like over 5,000 jews that were killed in the arab riots and in the Hebron massacre in the Palestinian mandate, so Israel improved the situation greatly, but the wall really reduced the killed to 10 or 17 of jews killed by terrorism per year) so I would argue it's a good idea, BUT I would also argue that USA is still an immigrants country, A LEGAL IMMIGRANTS COUNTRY, those its policies are too tough for others that are loyal to the USA to come and work there, and I do think if you'll give more possible solutions for FAMILYS (not single man that want money or smuggling drags) to get in and work, I do think the illegal immigrantion would far decline, but of course they need to be exepted after a background check. since if you take someone into your home, YOU NEED to know they are good people overall, right?

Ahmed hilmi pasha, former ottoman general, PM of the all palestine government established in 1948. Zaher al umar, ruler of northern palestine akin to muhammad ali pasha in egypt. Musa Kazim al husayini, held several ottoman administrative posts and became the executive of head of the arab palestinian congress. Raghib nashashibi, public figure in the ottoman empire and then mayor of jerusalem during the mandate period and wealthy land owner, head the nashashibi clan, historical rivals of the husaynis Haj amin al husayni, the mufti of jerusalem and the most well known palestinian leader, famous for his antisemitism and collaboration with the nazis during ww2 Look up the istqlal party, which was mainly formed over frustrations from the clan rivalries in palestine Palestine as a nation state was never "founded" or achieved independence per se but generally it is widely accepted that the nationalist idea of palestine emerged in the 19th century as a part of greater syria, think like the yugoslav nationalists. nationalism was popping all over after the napoleonic wars just like zionism emerged as a secular nationalist ideology that advocates for the right of jews to establish a state in their homeland. After the partition plan, The general zionist leadership accepted the plan and intended to establish a jewish state, although many historians argue that this move was dileberate as a means to welcome provication of war from the arab states in which annexation of the rest of the land would be possible. revisionist zionists like the irgun opposed the plan and intended to continue to wage war against the arabs and the british to establish a state in most if not all of palestine/eretz israel. The arab states rejected the plan for various reasons, mainly because it would setback pan arab nationalism. The palestinian arabs rejected the plan soley based on the belief that the land belonged to the palestinian nation, they also raised the objection that the partition plan was unfair in that most of the coast, plains and more 50% of the land was granted to the jewish state. Haj amin an hussaini went on his anti semetic rants of eradicating the jews and zionism. As for the populations on the ground, the jews met this with a fairly happy reaction and celebration because they finally got their state, many were hopefull but a lot have expressed that they felt the plan wouldnt solve the problem. As for palestinian arabs many were very worried and concerned for what the future may hold because on the one hand a jewish state now exists and might lead to war but on the other hand many were wary of the other arab states and of the intentions of the husayni clan and nashashibi clan, historical rivals and the two most prominant families in palestine had dealings with the kingdom of egypr and thr kingdom of transjordam repectively the latter of which most likely intended on annexation, which leas to a lot of infighting later in the war War then broke out over the several disagreements stated above
