What is Palette Prompting?
Simple - using a color palette image reference to define the core color base from which Midjourney will influence the rendered results! I know, that does not SOUND simple, but it genuinely is. We can create a palette reference image (something that shows a collection of colors in a single JPG or PNG file - often in a linear sequence of side-by-side rectangles or squares). While there are many tools for creating these, I am going to walk your through creating a color palette from an image using Adobe Color.
__
Starting from Adobe Color - Brian Sykes (that is me) does a quick intro to the tool and shows how to extract colors to create your own palette. From there he imports the palette image as a PNG or JPG file. This can be done through Discord or the alpha.Midjourney.com platform. Referencing the link to this image file as an --sref [image_link.png], creates a colorway influence to the overall image. This can be a powerful asset to brands for creating image with a brand specific color base.
As a note, you are NOT limited to Adobe Color as the means of creating your palette. There are plenty of other tools out there for accomplishing the same thing - but as an Adobe user, this is one of the best in relation to integration across the Adobe Suite of tools. Plus, it is super easy to use.

At the 7:30 mark I assume you just hit save then transferred to the next screen. When I hit save I don’t go to that next screen you did. How did you get to the screen at 7:34? Thanks!

@Paulkaiser - sorry about the "blip"... to see this in your app, once you "SAVE" your color palette - navigate to: LIBRARIES. The last file you created should be at the top. Click on that folder and it will expand to reveal all the color palettes inside. Click on the one you want - and it opens up showing what you see at the 7:30 mark. [PS - Adobe modified the flow just a bit, so it took me a second to see how / where it opened up.] Hope that helps!
