Good day! Todays we're investigating exactly which crop is worth the most money. And for a hint: It's not the apple tree.

Thank you for the break down. There is one factor that is left out. You have to use a small portion of the corps to make seeds. That will change the harvest amount of each crop you can sell.

I definitely agree with you on the seeds part. Unfortunately, this experiment was only for the crops themselves, but comparing against seed production (or cost if you purchase them) would be an excellent comparison as well!

you need seeds to plant. seeds are made from crops. if you take the full 30 days you only need to plant 6 times potatoe seeds and you need to plant rice ten times. i think that makes potatoes the best money makers. also take into account that you need 4 tomatoes to make only 2 tomatoe seeds but only need one potatoe to get 4 potatoe seeds. and you need 10 apples to make one apple seed and six peppers to make 2 pepper seeds. In my math the best profit per plot per day is with potatoes. the best focus per plot per day are onions. but please check my math I am not entirely sure.

Great information. I did not expect rice to win. I farm for preserves potato for focus tomato and carrots for profit. I am interested in seeing what your experiment shows. Thank You for the great work.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, I also have particular crops that use only for food/focus - but it definitely helps to know which crops gets you quicker gold if you're running low. :)

Need to take in account that every crop gives a different boost if it's next to a different crop.

greet you can it be that you have made a calculation error with the blueberries / pepper? max it out on a 9x9 grid, there are 16 plants and not only 9 - means on full harvest there are more berrys then only the 216

I see what you're saying - yes, if you squish the 2x2 berry/pepper bushes you can get 16 total bushes on a 9x9 full-sized dirt plot with them connected all together. In this case it would get you 16 bushes x 6 yielded harvest = 96 berries. Then the 96 berries x 4 harvest = 384 Total Harvested Berries/Peppers. No Star: 14,976g / Gold Star: 22,272g. Even with this, Rice remains the winner with its Gold Star value at 25,920g for a 30-day harvest time period. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention, because you are definitely correct, and I forgot to add these numbers into the video.

@@sunnypotato if you arrange the plots 2*4 +1 you can plant 19 pepper bushes also you need to keep some of the fruit to make the next batch of seeds and there is a difference: you need 6 peppers for two seeds you need 4 tomatoes for two seeds and you need only one potatoe for four seeds. also in 30 days you need to plant potatoes five times and you need to plant rice ten times. you have to calculate the net profit in money per plot per day because each crop have a different price.
