I'm glad you're keeping up with this game so I don't have to. I keep hoping something will happen that will make me want to play it.

I feel like the last few updates (Starstone update and this one in particular) feel REALLY rushed and untested. It's crazy to me that for BOTH updates, they had to sneakily hotfix the game without telling anyone in order to fix the BLATANT balance issues that they could've fixed before releasing... Had they tested it for more than 20 minutes. The previous update had pallum (aka the rarest mineable resource) respawning on a 5 minute timer, rendering it COMPLETELY worthless (on top of getting TONS of expensive gems) if you had the chance to exploit it while it was up. This update gets released, and what do you know, there's about 25 mujins per square meter, and their AI is somehow more broken than the other huntables and critters (the ones that sometime just decide to phase through the walls or floors so they don't have to deal with you?). The worst part about it is how, even after the hotfix to make the mujin's spawnrate actually okay and help them HIDE instead of walking around aimlessly, they're STILL a complete mess, running around and teleporting to trees (even the mujins that aren't meant to teleport) and I can't farm wood without having 10 mujins jumpscare me everytime I down a pinetree. And they look like they're going to rip your face off? Who in the art team decided hyenas with red glowing eyes was a cute look for a cozy game where you can't get hurt? I think they were trying to make them look goofy and funny (next to the chaapas and sernuks which kind of fill the roles as cute and elegant), but they just look weird and lowkey creepy? The new NPC is cute, but I really don't understand the point of having limited, one-time NPCs, lore or events in an MMO which is supposed to stand the test of time and offer content on the long run? To me it feels like a huge waste of resources on top of that? They animated a whole character, wrote a story, made quests, and they're just going to archive it all after they're done? I don't get why the whole questline can't just be instanced for each player so everyone can follow the storyline on their own schedule. The new furniture is cute. It's purple and blue. And you can't dye it, so I hope your house fits the colorscheme if you plan on using it. Sitting on chairs, yay, but for some reason you can only sit ONE person on couches, some benches you simply can't sit on, and oh yeah, it's only in your property, you're not allowed to sit on town benches, inside public spaces or NPC's houses. At this rate I feel like they should stop releasing new content every two weeks so they can take time to make more consequential updates, not necessarily with more content, but at least so they can leave themselves the time to actually test these features internally so they don't end up releasing random, broken, unbalanced stuff. The whole "it's a beta!!" excuse is cute but they're releasing balance-breaking stuff that WILL alter how the game is played on the long run since saves are NOT getting wiped. I'm STILL stocked up on pallum and I literally went from rags to riches without having to do half of the stuff players from release had to do just because of this.

I'm lost at your point about tree density ~8mins. Chopping down tress willy nilly was my main method of getting flow trees to spawn and if more people are doing it then more should spawn naturally outside of the guaranteed flow groves.

Flow Grottos are based on the in game clock, not tree respawn. Actually, when they spawn they can create a duplicate tree over the currently spawned trees sometimes. Basically, if a flow grove spawns where you're cutting, it should reduce the amount that spawn within that grove, unless they've forced all the trees in that area to respawn with the grove, which I can't say they've done.

@@DoitiEtokNews Ah so you were talking more about groves then. I understand now. I've never been at a grove spawn point when it triggers, so was just under the assumption that it would force spawn whatever amount it chose. I just prefer to mass chop trees whenever I need flow logs so have basically ignored groves all together. Outside of groves though, I'll still say that giving people a reason to chop down trees is a good change. I feel like I'm seeing more flow trees in general in the northern half of Bahari Bay. Which, I'm assuming, has been helped by hunters knocking Muujin out of the trees.

This game really needed more time. I think the money went into the advertising because with each update, I feel like the people who wanted this game got ripped off kind of. I know the comparison isn't fair but I can't see this game getting a mod community like Stardew or Skyrim. Seriously mods can made a good game great or a mid game top tier. Also why have a temporary quest that builds on character development?! I hate when games screw over new players. You need new blood sometimes to keep a game going. Why gatekeep! Yes satisfy the loyalists but don't block the newbies. Lastly, that hunting snafu is bad. It's nice to appeal to vegans but don't lock a quest that spits in their face. Maybe they didn't forsee that when making the quest. Thanks for covering this, sir.
