Obviously you(or the guy you talked to) have never looked into Daybreak Games. Their "job" within the Holding Company they work for is to buy games and part the tech out to turn a profit. While they do run older game servers, like EQ2 and LotRO, all the things they bought in the last 10 years have been sold off. Good Luck.
Maybe they will sell it off to a company that wants to support it? I looked into Daybreak Games but they are not really much of anything on their own so I looked at EG7 because EG7 owns DBG lock stock and barrel and the COO is the same person for both. Either way, anything they buy has to show a profit or be sold off I am sure. So since 2020 when EG7 bought DBG, what games have the bought and then sold off??? I really want to know
@@melodyrosegames4U Actually Sony Computer Entertainment was sold to Columbus Nova, a subsidiary of the Russian Renova Group business partners in 2015. It then became Daybreak Games with the guy you mentioned as the "business partner" who brokered the deal. They closed, then sold off EQ Landmark, Free Realms, H1Z1, Asheron's Call, and Asheron's Call 2 (or it's tech) under the Renova banner. In 2018, when Renova Group came under Federal scrutiny for Russian collusion ties, DBG claimed that they were Not sold to Columbus Nova, even though they had said so publicly quite a few times before. That fall they were bought by Nantworks run by a Doctor interested in AI. They once again sold off assets, this time to Nova Quark for their upcoming MMO Dual Universe. In December of 2020 they were bought yet again by Enad Global 7 and within 1 year the same guy was the majority shareholder. They held the Innova franchise at that time as well but sold it due to "more Russian ties". I remember reading all the companies and games they bought and sold at that time but couldn't cite you any off the top of my head. However, I stand by what I said, they have only kept the "old stuff" and parted out everything else they have touched.

I can't cite you a single one, I can just say that there were games and tech from games they sold off from 2015 to the present, while being passed through different three companies, while having the same boss AND divesting themselves of "Russian Influence" twice. It "could be" that EQ2, D+Donline, LotRO, and Planetside2 are still good enough money makers to be Worth the $300mil spent buying them out? Oh, wait, annual revenue of $25 million... /EDIT// I also have to ask, how does a company making $25mil a year "buy" a company making $45mil/year? Largest shareholder of their Holding Company is their boss?
