Palimpsest Workshop with Regan Rasmussen 

A Metchosin ArtPod workshop with Regan Rasmussen, Visual Artist / Educator, Saturday, 21 September 2024, to which artists, poets and writers are invited to playfully engage in ideas associated with palimpsest, looking for traces of history in their artwork. After viewing diverse approaches to the theme, participants will create mixed media work informed by fragments of texts, photos, musical scores, textiles, and maps and using a variety of demonstrated techniques such as mark making, erasure, folding, stamping and stitching to create a richly layered visual narrative.
