Great advice Kevin, it’s so much more comfortable down in the boarding gates area. There’s loads of seating too, unlike before the security checks section.
I fly from bournemouth 4 times a year, I always go straight to "A" as soon as I get to the airport. I was there at 3am 2 days ago, we were the only people at gate 14 until 10 mins before boarding (I use the Ryan air app which tells you what gate) we had the whole place to ourselves! no queuing for anything!!
Made the same mistake in June Kev. Your right, everyone should travel through 2nd security check point then onto A section as there’s are enough shops and food places to go to without large ques.. The airport or airlines should tell you this but for some reason they don’t.
In this airport on Friday 5th of August and my son was trying to fix the "bud" sign seen during the video. A17 was jam packed and so was the general A area. Indeed if you are at gate A go down straight away as you will have passport control and you need to allow for this. The airport is deceiving, you don't expect it to be so large. Seams to be Ireland and UK flights only in this area.
