I've always loved this song, but never felt every word until I recently had a 30 minute love affair myself. Although the circumstances were different, it was perfect, beautiful, and I too was promised there would be future encounters, but I was let down like Paloma was. I'm now trying to convince myself it was best where we left it.

The lyrics are timeless, then, now and in the future.

This song perfectly describes a moment in my youth at a Halloween party when I met a guy and we hit it off right away. We were each there with our own clique of friends and neither of us drove. We spent like an hour just talking about anything and everything, shared one slow dance and my girls pulled me into one of those restroom trips we women do. When I came back out, he was gone and my heart just sank. Paloma is right though, for that hour it was the perfect relationship because we hadn't had time to mess it up.

Paloma has better things to do than to invent Lana Del Rey. Paloma is totally original, gorgeous, talented, has a great sense of humour and absolutely amazing. But she is very underrated and and definitely one of the greats of this century.

Imagine if her and Lana Del Rey did a song together and in the video each of them were dating the same man and they find out that they are each "the other woman" and they team up to take him out mob style, it would be so awesome like a film noir!

somehow i just can't get tired of this girl's songs. reckon that makes her rather unique. an endearing, enduring quality.

I am totally enamoured with this lady and her music. Paloma Faith is such an incredible artist, her music and words speak volumes. If I had not already met my hubby, the love of my life.... I would be totally confused... half of me would want to be Paloma's big brother and protect her from whatever life throws at her... the other half would want to marry her in an instant... for all her fragility, she has always shown so much strength. A beautiful dichotomy ! I absolutely adore and admire this lady and her creativity ! xxx

I don't understand the comments on her looks, I find her gorgeous. She's not the stereotypical popstar look. She's an old fashion beauty that I wish I would see more of.

I love how her songs seem to be about doomed love. Makes it more sad and interesting at the same time. I'm a sucker for a tragic love story. Heard this the second time and thought how brilliant it was and the words are brilliant. She has a style all of her own and I like that.

It is a symbol of Gods holy spirit that wishes to fly and be free. The three is for emphasis and wishes peace. Why don't people look at why she chose three doves. I think she is a little dove too.
