Cremix uses their neck fur as a hoodie/nightcap when it sleeps at night , Loveness puts 3 fingers to its mouth and does a kiss animation every melee swing. Pokemon never had this love and attention.
Survival crafting/base building is my jam, pokemon and this art style are not. I was pleasantly surprised to find I actually love this game. It was a good reminder to get over myself and try different things once in a while.
I, as someone who can't stand either asian style or pokémon, will never try this game because I know for a fact that I will not enjoy the bright colours and constant noises from the "pals" :P To each their own ;)
@@Schmorgussame! I play survival building because the relax vibe. Game like valheim is my jam i can only logging destroying forest for hour because idk that just relaxing, but this game is just too flashy. But i get the appeal tho because i buy this game too😅
The game just gets better and better. Once you get where you can explore properly at decent speed, you find out just how big the map is and just how much there is to do. It has a smart way to get you to explore too. I have probably 50-60 hours in and haven't even explored more than 40-60% of the map. I lost track of time last night exploring, now i'm at work tired.
i think having companion (Pals) that stays with you all the time while fighting/farming/grinding/building literally everything makes a difference compared to other survival games. It makes fresh and great experience to gamers nowadays.
The devs are really on top of fixing bugs for this game as well; two of the most recent patches have fixed common and annoying (but fortunately not game-breaking) glitches that were widely known among players. So not only is the game fun, but the development team is attentive as well. They're doing a fantastic job with Palworld so far and I'm super happy for them.
I wonder if he'll even review it anytime soon, considering he's playing PW first and in less than 2 weeks another pretty hyped survival game is getting released - It's also one of the reasons why Enshrouded didn't get as much attention as it's in the middle of the survival sandwich
@VashTheStampede117 you should checkout the "Journalist" who doesn't play games and said how Palworld was complete trash and shouldn't have been released - because they found out you can capture humans and butcher the Pals. They got pissed and made an entire article about it.
Me too. His reviews are what makes me play some games I would normally not play. Hes definitely one of the better RU-vidrs to do game reviews (if not the best)
The fun part is that the actual end game isn't even implemented yet. They're going to add raids with bosses and more, plus new areas such as the giant tree area and more are still not implemented or active. Not to mention higher level caps which i'm sure wil be implemented soon. There's a specific spot in the game, a ruined city area which is where i think they're going to add an actual raid for co-op/servers. Oh and you can also capture wandering merchants and bring them back to base and just place them there and you can use them. To refresh their inventory just put them back in the palbox rinse and repeat, although, this might be patched at some point.
@@TheTrueEmrys Oh noes, i spotted a Pokenerd who's jealous because someone made a game that is currently overshadowing the Pokemon franchise. Get bent you literal clown. Go back to playing your Pokemon games on their outdated graphics and game play mechanics with zero innovation for the past 20+ years.
@TheTrueEmrys yet this cash grab game is out performing most other games, and it's still only in beta. I would laugh, but it is rather depressing the standard of most games now.
I'd love a full review. It's funny to see an MMO player get through this by following the tips and hints the game gives you from prior experience without much issue. I've watched a bunch of people starting out and most of them make so many mistakes just because they refuse to read.
Cool to see you covering this game and having a great time. it's quite addictive. Also there was no need to check the internet to find stuff, the Paldex shows which basic materials drops from each Pal.
I'd love to watch it Craig but I'm currently playing it and don't want to spoil anything so I'll have to put it on watch later. But I wanted to like and comment so RU-vid recognizes it. Cheers Mate!
You can capture Zoe&Grizzbolt by a glitch ( Done it today ) - Go to a settlement and attack the merchant and get 3x wanted. - Travel to the Tower and glide down and enter the tower. - wait for 3s before skipping the cutscene. - The guard will spawn inside the boss fight with you - Do not hit the boss at all, Make the guard hit the boss - when the boss get hit by the guards it will go the corner and be idle/freeze - YOU must throw the pal sphere from behind ONLY to be able to capture. İgnore the capture %. - And now you have a sheild meat :)
Honestly surprised he didn't attempt to capture any of the humans... I was on the fence about the game until the day before it came out, when I learned about pals helping out around the base. Somehow that was the final straw that sold me on it (that and the price point). Haven't regretted buying it at all, what an addictive and fun game with a surprising amount of hidden depth!
Dude, you got a new subscriber for this one! Thoroughly enjoyed the video and am going to get the game for my daughter and I to play together. I love the art style and laid backness feel!!! ❤❤❤
The best comparison I can make for Palworld, is that it has that addictive aspect that sucks you in similar to how Minecraft survival was when we first experienced it
It's kind of ironic that you chose Wixen to fight Katress - maybe you didn't notice, but in their description it states that the two hate each other with a passion (Katress loves her meat raw, Wixen loves it well done to the point of almost burnt)
It's what I dreamt of when I played MMO as a kid. Why do I have a quest triggered NPC fight but not that NPC? Why this can be my pet but not that? Why are my pets nearly useless? I can do so much more in this game. It probably can't scale to become an MMO, but it feels like one
I can see this on my horizon now, with your positive review and watching your game play. I really enjoyed Enshrouded, I have some concerns with Nightingale (lack of Multiplayer info for my Co-Op crew), and Palworld may take the next slot for my crew.
some beginner pal tips foxpark + harness lv6 = flamethrower which is very fun to use build a ranch and find Vixy for infinity blue balls Rush boar lv6 and Digtoise lv 13 + harness = ore and stone destroyer Galeclaw glove at lv 23 will change your way of travel and dodging skill forver good luck and have fun *-*
20 million copies sold in less than a month so you're not the only one to feel good about the game. I also give them credit for making it relatively affordable at only $30.
I love this game. Caught every pal, beat all the towers, and reached level 50. Was working on an endgame team and build, but decided to take a break to avoid burnout.
This game has one of the most addictive gameplay loops I’ve experienced in years . Such a blast and the devs are awesome . They just wanted to make a fun game that people liked and greatly succeeded . They saw a lot of dissatisfied pokemon and arc fans and were like “hey we got you “
Got to say mate, LOVED your review for this game.... as of late, I'd been worried that you might have become 100% pessimistic and jaded to any and/or all new titles hitting the streets, I'm so VERY HAPPY to see my paranoia was unfounded. 😁👍 It's nice to see there's a game that's caught your attention for a couple of minutes [ In the good way! ] Palworld is Brilliant!
Although I've already played the shit out of the game myself, I really loved watching your first experience with it. Gotta be the most fun and engaging opening hours of any game I've played for years - this is where mashing together common mechanics from other games shines the most. You can just pick this game up and your assumptions about mechanics are usually correct and you can just focus on having fun, rather than figuring out weird mechanics that try too hard to be unique and special. This is just a straight up video game for the sake of being a video game, and it's refreshing to see
I love this game. I kind of went overboard and caught a few Jetragons and I've bred them so my entire team is Jetragons with Legendary, Ferocious, and Swift. I just do the F attack and switch over and over again to defeat just about everything in the game ez mode 🤣
Ive been enjoying it. Didn't go full bore into this game like many others (actually havent played it in over a week, and only a few hours so far, think im like level 14), but im enjoying it. It was a great purchase
glad you're enjoying this game fam. messing with the mammorest is a mistake that most of new players have to go through before learning a lesson, and it's hilarious every time. also i've never seen anyone pet their pal before butchering it like that... that was psychopathic. but funny. the name depresso cracks me up too, but wait until you meet the dinosaur thingy. no spoilers here.
Couple of pals are better mounts than others early on, especially for speed of running and flying. But, it was massive change in getting everywhere in couple of seconds once I got that lvl 50 Jetdragon.. It's such a beast. Wait till Peon gets into breeding, it's gonna be fun to watch.
I might sound like a simp for saying this but I dunno if you've changed routine or camera or style or what have you, but you're looking great in this video dude!
Also brother in christ, the building is straight ass lol, it does not work well once you have an actual base and if you have any levels/floors to that base, you can bet you're doing most of the crafting/building
Important to note with this game, the Steam version and the microsoft store version on PC are not the same in terms of features or bugs. The Microsoft store version which you can get through gamepass is a lot more buggy and limited to 4 player coop where Steam gets dedicated servers with 32 players. Also as of the last time i played it the game pass version doesnt have DLSS support.
Great Video as always. just a heads up there is the whole pokemon elemental aspect in the game where fire v water etc comes into battles where attacks are super effective. which is a neat aspect of the game battles
27:53 from your perspective it did, but ever since it was teased back in 2021, it has garnered *some* attention for being "Pokémon with guns" - but obviously not the amount of attention AAA blockbusters get.
Out of curiosity, do you plan on doing an impressions vid for Enshrouded? I'd like to se how you compare the two. Personally I prefer Enshrouded, has a lot more depth in my opinion
I don’t even like survival type games but the hold this game has on me is crazy. I bought the game off a whim. It’s been awhile since I’ve had genuine fun playing a game. These days I have to take greats after playing something for so long but this game I can play for hrs and if I didn’t have work the next day you best believe I’d play all night long. It’s actually to the point where I’m only thinking about it while at work. As someone who has over 100 hrs I have to say, give it a try. It’s 30 dollars with ZERO micro transactions. Like everyone else I thought this game was gonna be a joke, but thank god I gave it a try.
Hell yea, this game is quite fun! As others have said, excited to see what you think of Enshrouded. Another survival game that is addictively fun, but entirely different.
Im worried about end game (ALL MMOS have died due to lack of GOOD end game) Gamers always ask for "Raids" or "More Cosmetics" or a different "Zone" but things like this DO NOT make good end game EVER. However the Devs added that really cool NPC element where they attack your base, this is exactly what New World was supposed to have and never did. Ark Survival PvE was SOOOO boring for me personally. I lost a friend to it who has over 9000 hours on the PvE stuff, he would just build, raise dinos, then go to a new server and reset... Hopefully some fun PvE and PvP can be mixed in but that all falls down to the gamers feedback which given the history of games with no end game due to gamers asking for cosmetics and raids...i do worry Pal World could fall into the same boring repetitive game style.
Well it turns out you don't really need to reinvent the wheel when you make a good game. Who would've thought of that, eh? I love it, didn't have this much fun playing a game in a long time... the game is quite well optimised, fun, addictive, compelling, has decent graphics and doesn't have game breaking bugs and achieved all of that in early access. And it costs only 30$/25£. Also, if you find butchering pals to be cruel, just don't do it, don't even craft the meat cleaver.
This Video Has influenced me to purchase Palworld as I’ve been putting it to the side as I only thought of it as the Pokémon stereotype but Yk less , this has proved it is far more
You can also capture the bosses in towers but you need to be wanted first then enter a tower and skip intro. Then let cops hit the boss and it will go to a corner and become capturable
This game was on my wishlist since mid 2022 I've never imagined it would be this popular. Such an amazing game. I thought from the trailers it would be a meme game but no.
Thankfully the devs released a roadmap that addressed the bugs, which many would say the pathing issues are the most prominent and annoying, and that they are working on them as their top priority. The second thing that most people talk about is a proper management UI such as what you would expect in a colony sim like Rimworld or Oxygen Not Included. Anyone that plays long enough would say this is definitely needed. I'm hoping it's their top priority as soon as they address the bugs. Other than those two things the game is awesome with a solid foundation and is still loads of fun. Lastly, wouldn't it be nice if Palworld sponsored your full review video.
I recently realized that you are one of the few content creators that I still like to watch. It seems most others are catering to 12 year olds or people with the attention span of a potato. Or perhaps I'm just getting old...
