I'm having a problem where it won't let me play offline on xbox, despite me turning off multiplayer. The game itself won't even open at all without net. When I opened the game with net connected, and set the multiplayer off. Any time I disconnect the net, the game crashes and closes.

Earlier, I had turned on multiplayer for my world. Now that I want to resume playing offline once more, I'm met with a message saying "Sorry, you're currently prevented from playing online multiplayer games." In the settings, the multiplayer section is just blacked out saying "Your device cannot be used to host multiplayer matches." I'm fine with that. I just want to go back to playing my single player world. I didn't even get anyone to join my game when I *did* turn multiplayer on. What can I do?

Honestly..ignore it. To join you have to give someone a invite goes, and that changes everytime you launch the world-Zero

it keeps saying that my device cannot be used to host multiplayer matches. does that have to do with the fact that im using a xbox console wothout a pc or what?

I'm on xbox and have same issue. I go to world settings. And I use my dad to still change the setting even though you can't see it. And save. It solved issue for me

I started it up on cloud on my android phone with the xbox game pass app you can turn on multiplayer there and then start and create character then quit and start the created world on your console but it crashes alot but it does work i seen a video on it but i cant seem to find it now.

I have gathered some info, if you are playing o nXbox One you might not be able to host a world, it might requires a series console.-Zero

@@XBLAFansI have a white Xbox one not a series and this workaround works. Multiplayer has to be enabled through cloud gaming on the Game Pass app on your phone though. You create a character and once your world loads you can quit and continue on Xbox with your invite code you'll have after that. You can't change any settings after you do it or it will disable multiplayer again. I'm not sure if it works with already created worlds though.
