I'm just a sixty-one year old guy. I wake up in the morning, turn, look over at my wife and see how beautiful the girl I married is, it's amazing how angels even glow while they sleep and think of how lucky I am she picked me. Then I get out of bed, get some coffee, get dressed, give her a kiss while she's still asleep and leave off to work. We don't live to impress the world nor cater to it, only take stock in ourselves and those we love. Be yourself.

@willow1698 My Dad passed away on 11/28/23. He was the best Dad I could've ever been given. I have 3 brothers as well, but I have always been a Daddy's girl. My parents were married for 57 years, 60 all together. They didn't believe in PDA, but as I got older, I'd catch my Dad looking at my Mom and vice versa and the love they had for each other was mesmerizing. My 2 oldest brother's married their high school sweethearts, and my youngest has been with his wife for 15 years. That's one thing my Dad taught my brothers, love. He also taught me to find "the one" and not settle. Because of that, I truly believe that girls do find a mate who has similarities like their fathers. Makeup is not important in the long run.

At 19, I almost never reach for makeup. It’s very freeing to care for my skin’s health instead of covering it up. I find it super encouraging to see others embracing their natural skin and features. A good reminder to women that we have options. You don’t need makeup if you don’t want it.

I am 14 and can now start wearing lip gloss and mascara. thats it. thats all. I am happy to have to option to wear makeup but know i am beautiful with or without it. Me too. I find as I get older (52 now) I care more about how I look because it makes me feel better. And my husband is happy. Pamela is trying to fight beauty standards but she WAS the standard 30 years ago. Seriously she unintentionally made a lot of women feel bad about themselves because while women can be pretty, she was another level of sexy. So I'm kind of meh at her very late attempt to fight beauty standards at this point.

I am almost 41. I remember in my early 20s being shocked when my friends told me that they were afraid to be seen without makeup. They were perfectly lovely ladies and to this day I cannot understand what had gotten them to that point. I like makeup and think it is fun to play in but it has never been anything that I felt I needed to wear and I go out of the house most of the time without it. I say this because I hope that ladies will realize that it isn’t scary. I have never had anyone notice that I wasn’t wearing it. Your face is a work of art all on its own. Makeup is fine and even fun, but I hope that ladies realize it isn’t necessary.

I’m 41 and same. I never wore makeup- my mom refused to let me wear it and I’m so glad she held her ground. I am so confident in my skin every day and I love wearing it when going out because everyone is like “wow!”

In high school i was addicted to makeup but for a few years now (i'm 25) i realized that its not necessary because i'm beautiful on my own with my smile making me look beautiful:) i look at my younger self with compassion because i thought i'm not enough without makeup. Now i'm a lot more confident and i wish all other ladies the same:) i still have a lot of colorful shades, lipsticks, eyeliners and other things because i like fun, artistic, colorful makeup the same way i like to express myself with clothes but i know that i dont have to wear makeup everyday and cover my face with it to look confident and good:)))

one of the most heartbreaking things was my grandparents had friends who were in a loveless marriage. he was abusive to her plain and simple. she got cancer and was very, very ill. he wouldn't drive her any where unless she did a full face of makeup and had her hair curled. she'd come to events exhausted and her makeup looking like an awful, shaky mess because her hands shook so much. but he didn't care. he would rather her look like a clown in public than let her show up without anything on her face. contrasted with another set of friends they had who, when the wife got very ill, she taught her husband how to do her makeup for her because she loved it so much and he would sit her at her vanity and gently do her makeup for her every morning. i always felt so bad for the first woman. it was a different time so no one really said anything but even as a little girl i knew it wasn't right

Just saw two very pretty girls at the gym. Little makeup (if any), a normal shirt, and sweatpants. It’s nice seeing girls that leave a little mystery to themselves, not when you can see every crease and wrinkle in their tight spandex attention-seeking outfits. Not exactly related to the video but I don’t have friends near me so I gotta tell someone.

why is the automatic assumption that if a girl wears spandex to a GYM she wants attention?! could it not just be the fact that spandex and form fitting clothing is easier to workout in? let alone the fact that they are WORK OUT clothes and the one place where i think it’s appropriate to wear workout clothes would be the gym. why do you care this much about what women are doing? i myself as a woman that is attracted to women see a girl in leggings or shorts at the gym and admire her beauty and physique. not judge and assume she’s looking for attention

But if everyone can see the inside of your ass, each ass cheek separated and gripped onto by your pants… it yells “look at me.” I don’t think you need more than one example, so I won’t move on to the rest of what everyone sees. My husband always tells me I'm beautiful, in the morning without a stitch of makeup on, rosacea and my hair looking like a spider monkey. He loves me for me, and he makes sure he knows the things about myself I'm insecure about, he doesn't see, or is bothered by. He also assured me that if I feel more comfortable with makeup on, because it makes me feel confident, he's fine with that too, but that I'm his beautiful Sunflower at all times. That being said, I do like to put effort into my appearance so he knows I want to stay attractive for him. It's about balance for me, and I'm beyond grateful for a husband who is supportive and loving and kind.

I only ever wear a „full face“ if I need to look presentable. Otherwise, aka most days, I wear mascara, something to fill in my eyebrows and a lip balm. I used to wear a full face every single day, and back then, I loved that too - it‘s okay to change one’s mind and today, even without much makeup on, it‘s ok too to like myself that way.

That's very true. The majority of men will tell their other half they're beautiful even when they've just stepped indoors after a 12 hour shift and a walk home in a hurricane carrying a bag of cement. True story: there is actually a video where Pokimane showed a comment a guy made about her instagram photos, saying they were too “sexy” (which they weren’t THAT sexy) and that she posted them for “male validation”. You could tell she tried to laugh it off, but she was pretty hurt, especially how he even said at the end “If I was your father, I’d be so disappointed in you”. As a guy, I I find that to be so ridiculous. The fact that he himself is blaming men and putting his own kind down, basically calling him and other guys perverts that want sexy photos of women, and that men are the problem. What if she just enjoys being cute? I truly hate guys like that who hate themselves and other men for no reason at all. He was probably a male feminist.

Yesterday I was on a flight from Europe and I noticed a few American twentysomething girls with eyelash extensions, lip injections and fake nails wearing sweatpants, smeared makeup and messy buns acting loud and disruptive while the European women, looking natural and put together in a simple yet elegant way, acted like reasonable humans. It was quite telling.

@@sammii122690 I judge that way and it works well for me. I travel the world and into hobbies,physical activities,and interest where I rarely see women caked in makeup. N ot used to women looking completely different like cartoons and anime characters. The women are well labeled with heavy makeup,fakeup,piercings,weaves,tattoos,injections,weird surgeries,etc. so not difficult to avoid. Also assume every woman is a single mother. Safer that way, no time/money wasted,no drama,baggage,etc.. There’s a reason why I’m immune to divorce fleece,weaponized child support,the family courts and retired debt free in my 40s.

I agree, people need to stop lying to themselves trying to recomfort aging as a gift. it's not a gift, your body is slowly dying, that's what it is. the only good thing is you get experience and proportionnaly more wisdom(depends on the person) Most old people I see seem sad. their Family members and friends have died, you're sick,alone, less energy to do fun things, etc. Let's see if she says that when she's older. If you would have the choice, would you want to stop aging? I know I would, maybe stay at 25, at your prime.

@@smashmusique aging is tough, and hopefully you do grow in wisdom and can share it with the young. I think it helps the elderly to remain connected to young people. I do not want to end up in a retirement home unless there is no way at all that I can be cared for at home. That isolation is one major reason for depression in the elderly.

It is a gift! My cousin got killed at the age of 18 when he was going to work, now we will never get to know how he would be once he reached adulthood or the smile marks that would appear on his face for leading a happy life and the worry lines of problems he had long overcome. Those things were taken from him and his family, R.I.P. Kevin.

I am a woman who is not into make up at all, not even lipstick, but I do think make up is fine, as long as it's not too much that you won't recognize the person if they're not wearing any make up. Make up should be to enhance someone's beautiful features, so people won't notice or focus on the "imperfection". I have watched some make up tutorials and I am shocked at how many layers of different make up are put on a face, there's foundation, then there's other stuff, lol!

I personally don't like make up, but it's only because I've seen plenty of gals who look like porcelain dolls, which to me is not at all appealing. I can empathize with wanting to look beautiful but I think there definitely is a point when there is too much makeup. No thanks. I have coulrophobia. I travel the world and do a lot of exploring,hiking, backpacking,sailing, swimming,etc. where women standing around loaded with makeup and fakeup looking like trannys,anime characters,and cartoons doing nothing but posing,taking video of themselves is extremely rare if at all. For me it’s all about what she looks like without the makeup,injections,weaves,fillers,etc. stops or come off at end of day which can be terrifying. My girlfriend does none of that and doesn’t like all the petroleum based chemicals.

I recently ran to school, I teach junior high, without makeup. It wasn’t until 5th period before anyone even asked me about mascara. I suddenly realized I never put any makeup on. One student actually said you look good no worries Mrs. M. I feel our skin sometimes needs to be clean and clear at least at home on days off etc.

makeup can be an artistic way of expressing one’s self but it can also be a way of hiding insecurities. Somehow it’s easy to tell the difference between the two. This is just my opinion: I prefer women with a pretty good amount of makeup, but I am not going to tell other women how they should or shouldn’t wear it. As long as they are happy, I’m good. I’m not going to force my preference on them. I think some guys are afraid to say they like makeup, because they fear they will look sexist, but I don’t really care. If you like that, but aren’t harming anyone, then you are totally good.

Back in the 90s my wife wanted the Alexis Vogel make up kit that Pan Anderson was advertising. Holy crap she looked great. The kit taught her how to wear make up and what looked best. She was a hot babe to begin with but when we went out to dinner or dancing she looked like a star.

I’m 29 and I’ve been wearing makeup for at least 10 years now. Nowadays I’m trying not to wear it as much anymore. Ironically, I started to get a little self-conscious when I was wearing makeup! I just want to focus on getting clearer, better looking skin instead of hiding my acne with makeup (and possibly making it worse.) Honestly, once you get over the fear of looking so tired or gross, you start feeling so much better, and realize people don’t really give a shit about what you look like.

I’m 30 and I have never worn make up as an everyday thing. Have only ever worn make up for special events (graduation, weddings, interviews, etc). I hate the amount of work you have to put in to do your make up. I don’t care what people think, my husband loves me regardless, pulled him make up free so I think I’ll be fine. Word to the younger generations, you’ll be fine too! You don’t need to change your face (surgery or extreme make up) to be happy.

I’m 33. I stopped wearing makeup every day after I had my first child 10 years ago. I didn’t have the time or desire to wear it anymore. I still put some light makeup on for special occasions and date nights, but my eyes have gotten really sensitive to any kind of eye makeup, so it’s basically just some tinted moisturizer, blush, lip gloss, and brow gel. Quite the contrast to my teenage emo eyes. 😂 Personally, I don’t think I really need it. It was only ever a source of anxiety for me, not a place of creative expression or joy. Having kids gives you a new perspective on beauty.

Makeup makes me happy. I love makeup because it’s so much fun to me and another outlet of creativity for me. Plus, I look beautiful to ME when I do it. Maybe I’ll consider stopping wearing makeup at some point later, because things can always change, but for now, I enjoy it. But Idc if I look older when I’m older though, as well. There’s so much beauty in growing old. I think it’s good that this is being brought to attention just so people know, but for me, I’m going to keep wearing makeup for now, because it makes me happy and that’s enough for me right now.

She looks beautiful. Enough said. I am 28 and stopped wearing makeup altogether at 23. I’m also Haitian so I went all natural at 21. And I’m so better off for eat. Money wise and spirit wise. It feels great. But also just know that beauty products aren’t heavily regulated and do carry carcinogens. Skin is a big organ and some lotions and many make up products carry parabens and ingredients that over time can make you sick. It’s likely what’s attributed to the aging of Gen Z. Also chemical relaxers carcinogenic and long term no bueno. Going natural is good for ones self image and spiritual growth but also for your HEALTH. I’ve suffered 8 years of chronic illness until really going natural and looking at ingredients from what goes in and on my body. Detox, excercise, and do as much as I can about organic food even on food stamps. Not easy but worth it. I’m healthy enough to work part time now and go to school. Before I was dying. Really take a look at your makeup cabinet and food guys. It literally can save your life.

Women have been dressing for each other for a long time. If it goes away, it will come back. It's in our feminine competitive nature. But I have always said that it is better to not wear it in general and when you do, people say you.look great, than wearing it all the time and having people ask you if you are sick the day you don't wear it. I would wear it more often if my eyes were not so sensitive. I would say that I am brave for not coloring my hair, but it is as much that my gray blends in with my dark blonde than anything else. More of my friends are going gray naturally, and that is better for your hair and your roots.

She’s not 100% makeup free, she’s wearing mascara, lipstick/gloss or she has tattoed makeup and or/ dyes her lashes and fills in her brows. But she looks a lot healther and better than she did with excessive makeup. Looks like she has removed some of the fillers/botox and what-have-you in her face too. I’m guessing she also spends a lot of time outdoors and exercising. She’s glowing. People who do not use a lot of skin-coverage makeup or don’t have injections look a lot more human and alive in general. One can see dynamics in their face through color and movement.

I don’t “feel beautiful” or think I “look better” with makeup or without it. So I go without it. Same goes with hair dye. If others want to wear makeup and dye their hair….to each their own. For me, it’s not about being counter-cultural or that I feel “super confident”; I just think it’s a waste of my time and money.

That's insane that young women at 20 are getting injections. I blame social media for normalizing it. I'm from the 90's and that really wasn't a thing girls in their 20's were obsessed with (but I do think it caught on closer to 30). I still look 23-24 based on what I hear from friends and strangers often. Looks like Gen Z is going to age like milk.

58yr Australian. A good deal of my working life has been parallel with beauty industry. 3 yrs ago I questioned my training & ditched the lot. Including sun screen. I cover up with fabric, hats, shade etc. I live in North Queensland where the sun is at its most damaging. My skin has never looked better. Someone explain that to me. I’m seriously beginning to think it was all a lie purely to make money. My sister decided to copy me about 8months ago and she looks fantastic. Very noticeable on both of us. Wrinkles have actually lessened and there are no more patchy colour variations.
