Finally a content creator I subscribe to covers this great game, which was our main entryway into this amazing hobby. Thank you Alex! With my son dreaming and working towards becoming a commercial airline pilot, it was a no-brainer to give this to him as a birthday present back at the beginning of 2021. The variety of game mechanics and awesome miniature planes are what hooked us and lead to us exploring modern board gaming. We play it a bit more cut throat at 2 players in that outbid Engineers are out of the round. I definitely agree that a 3 player count is the best, but head to head against my son is always fun. We both have our own strategies, where I ALWAYS sell my routes to Pan Am no matter the round and my son ALWAYS tries to build his airline out to use up every possible plane in his fleet. You're correct in that selling to Pan Am and buying stocks often is the better strategy, though final scores can be as close to 1 or 2 shares. The unknown Event cards each round and the ability to grab Hidden Directive cards can make it anyone's game. Thanks again for the spotlight and definitely Funko's best game.
Got it on a super sale at target as well..paid less than $15 and have played it 10 times...well worth the money and a great medium -light game for people looking for something only a bit crunchy.
I've had this game for over a year and never played it, then out of the blue i played it 2 days ago, then you put this video out! what are the odds :D I found it a pretty good game for the price
Love this game. It would have had way more attention if it didn't come out during the pandemic. It's easy to learn and teach but still has enough going on for gamers to enjoy.
Like Acquire, this game surprised me with how engaging I found it. In neither game, am I drawn to the theme or the artistic design/imagery. But they are both satisfying to play.
