HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU! Thank you for taking time out of your day to spend with me- I appreciate it so much! I am ready to start this new year with motivation and new panning challenges to keep me moving through my makeup right along with you! This video takes us through what happened with my Nabla Cosmetics Side by Side Nude palette as well as introducing the shadows I will be panning in 2023 via TWO pan that palette challenges. Jump on in with the lovely ladies and myself of the PANTASTIC LADIES on Facebook. The main theme is #OldSchoolPTP2023 created by Jessica Lee and Dana if you want to kick it back old school and pan one of your older palettes and I also want to participate in Paula's challenge called #BetterTogetherPTP to pick a few palettes that work well together! actually it was 2015 when you got that blush, when you were working on the Lorac Pro palette. I swear I'm not a stalker, my mind couldn't let it go so I did some video hunting 😆

I love that you’re bringing the MAC shadows in! I’ve been working on my MAC shadows for so many years and I honestly love them so much that I’m not mad that they last me forever lol. Also I’m so shocked that your Cola Pop blush is still hanging on! I remember you bringing that in so many years back! It’s so satisfying seeing how far it’s come ❤ So happy to watch your vids and catching up on them today 💕

Happy New Year!!!!! Thank you- the packaging of it has inspired me for YEARS- I really, really wish that @zpalette would release the lipstick palettes again. It reminded me of the days that MAC was the "it" brand and I smile every time I see it- I can't help but feel happy about the shadows I choose to use when they are in that packaging! I too love to see what others are reaching for and keep myself inspired as well. I was stoked to see that the shades I'm gravitating towards are matching up with other things that I am seeing in panning projects so in a way it feels more like a collaborative effort instead of panning on our own:)

Amber, I am love the idea of working on a palette of singles. I actually finished a Clinique cheek pop in nude, I loved it. I remember when you wanted to finish that blush, and I used up mine lol.

Ooo I love the better together idea. I've been planning to pan the ABH prism, Bybel, and Jackie Aina palettes and they definitely work best together so I guess I'm doing this project! ☺️

Just glad to see you well. Great progress, and sounds like the side-tracks led you to some interesting lessons. Looking forward to the new projects! I remember seeing Cola Pop coming back around a few times. I have 3 shades of that blusher, and don't imagine I'll ever see the flower wear off, LOL. But it's a great blush.

I hear you-my oblivious self bought not one but TWO Clinique Cheek pops in black honey🤣🤣🤣🤣 thankfully it’s a lighter shade than cola pop so it’s easier to make progress but now seeing how long I have to keep at it I might need to pass along the backup😜

Hi Amber. Just a thought, you may have already thought of this, but in reference to the never ending Clinique blush...maybe once a week you can scrape a little bit off and mix it with a balm to wear it as a lip color. Just to help move it along. Or once/twice a week add it to your eye look. Just a thought. Hope to see more of you in 2023. Really enjoy your videos. Happy New Year!

I do use it bugged out in my eye look and since I already have my beloved black honey lipstick I’m just going to keep slowly using it-I must admit though I’m thankful I love the color even though it’s proving to be a challenge in perseverance😂

Happy New Year, Amber! Good to see you. I am looking forward to seeing you more frequently in 2023. I finally decided to jump in and do a pan that palette with the Kicking it Old Style…I selected the LORAC DTLA palette. It is an older palette, not hyped and has four matte, neural eyeshadows, a blush and a highlight. Thank you for the suggestion to purchase a telescoping magnet, it was very timely as I have recently de-potted my ABH palettes (Modern Ren, Soft Glam, and Sultry) got rid of shades with hard pan and kept all the shades I love to use, but having a difficult time moving them from the large z-palette to the small “z-palette quad” each week and have largely stopped using them. I think this tool will be a game changer. Going to use all the ABH de-potted eyeshadows in 2023.

Yes, I LOVE that magnet. It made things so easy and I have a feeling moving forward that more companies are going to capitalize on magnetizing their palettes because it will be a fresh idea and be more appealing as singles become trendier again. I already see a shift that people want smaller packaging and more efficient use of space so its full circle in the process again! Have fun with all of the ABH shadows- I know you've got some beautiful neutral looks waiting to be discovered within your depotted shadows! I felt that way with all the LORAC and Colourpop shades I have-I just needed them to be condensed. I needed to clear my headspace and my physical space bc my thinking is if I open up the palettes and see pan in shadows I will be more likely to reach for them and switch shadows out from now on. My thinking is changing yet again but staying in line with what motivates me as I pan. Happy New Year, Gina!

Thank you Steph! It really is a gorgeous palette at the end of the day and even though it definitely takes a long time I rarely had moments of regretting my choices with it. I really have enjoyed every single look I've created and panned with it. Looking forward to what's ahead to learn this year too! Happy New Year!!!!!

GIRL, it is something else! I've panned and finished other blushes in much less time but these Clinique cheek pops I swear are worth the money if you never, ever want to have to replace a blush. I've finished MAC, NARS, and some others through panning but this one refuses to let go, lol! When I repressed it YEARS ago, it EXPANDED in the pan-lesson to me that as I tackle my Black Honey shade (another favorite) I need to remind myself DO NOT REPRESS as you hit pan!

I smile and think of you when I reach for it-I can easily see it going to the pool with me or when I want a quick grab-n-go. It never would’ve crossed my mind had it not been for your review! I wish it had the black interior-its white like my other totes😂

The full size ND pans are 2 g. I’ve been trying to pan some of my older ones to get my full money’s worth and it’s tough! Tougher than than mac and too faced for sure. Her midi sized shadows are not bad to pan though but they’re half the size lol

That is great to know, Toni! I've hit pan in several shades in my ND Metropolis palette and then I hit a couple of pans in Triochrome but I'd forgotten how long it physically took me so when I got to Mini Biba I expected a lot and then when I hit pan it caught me by surprise. I am keeping that in consideration as I look at future ND palettes because it sounds like the minis are perfect because you get enough to fall in love with the shadow but its feasible to use it up before it goes bad:) Not going to lie, I WILL NOT be surprised if month after month I am working on that crease shade but I am game for it because literally it took me almost a year to get through the highlight shade in Nabla as well as crease shades and for sure that matte black. I know the lessons I gained from that will give me the perseverance I want now:).

I made the same promise to Paula if she finished all 3 of the little palettes. screen shot this comment. Too bad MAC discontinued the recycling program. I consider the Nabla palette done. 4 shadows left that are half done? call it a day

I missed the news on MAC discontinuing the Back to MAC-I was stock piling my empties hoping to redeem some of them but now I know that’s not a possibility😵‍💫. Thank you for letting me know! Happy New Year, girl! in the mini biba it took me a few months. I am mixing it with the matte shade on the far left to deepen it up so that could be making a difference in how it pans as well but I've also hit pan in cream to powder shadow out of my Metropolis palette and it was a commitment of months just to hit pan but definitely worth it knowing that the formula will be more delicate and not last as long as the traditional powder formula!

Love your channel name! I don't look at it as forcing myself to use it-its the challenge of finishing it that drives me. I love the satisfaction and accomplishment as well as the lessons I learn along the way of using it. When it comes to the Nabla palette, I'm so close to being done that I want to see it through and I also want the satisfaction of making another finale video to talk about the lessons I learned with the formulas and all that because I know that its helpful for anyone making purchase decisions or decisions about panning in their own collections!
