This trip to Panama City was extremely special for both of us because it was the first time in over 4 years that my wife saw her son after both were forced to flee Venezuela (along with 5 million of their fellow countrymen) due to the oppressive dictatorial rule of Nicholas Maduro who has single-handily destroyed a once prosperous country and worse yet separated families from their loved ones.
In this short video, I tried to capture the special moment when mother and son reunited in a food park where he worked. My wife's son had no idea we were coming so the emotions just flowed out of him when he saw her. I also wanted to showcase the impressive architecture of Panama City which not only rivals that of Miami, but in fact surpasses it in terms of its sheer size. The whole trip was amazing but nothing was more beautiful than the moment mother and son were reunited; a moment I will never forget for as long as I live.
On top of all that, I was able to celebrate my 54th birthday 🎂 and New Years 🥂 2021 in Panama at the JW Marriott Hotel with the Panama City skyline as our backdrop.
