Sue and Ed moved from Fort Collins Colorado to Potrerillos Panama in 2010. Potrerillos is a rural town in Chriqui Province about halfway between David and Boquete. The weather is a little warmer than Boquete and much cooler than David so it's ideal!
Sue and Ed talk about what their life is like living in Potrerillos. They enjoy the amazing views, a short walk down the street to pick fresh produce, their church is within walking distance, and there are some small grocery stores, and very affordable restaurants close by.
Potrerillos has a population of about 1,200 super friendly people. It's about a 20-minute drive to Boquete and a 20-minute drive to David.
Come see what life is like in Potrerillos Panama! You'll be amazed.

It is not about the place to live since the entire planet is beautiful and home to every living being that knows how to enjoy the quiet existence with all the fibers of their being of what they call “Nature.” The matter is between those who live and interact since there are two types of people: those who are against Nature and those who are carried away by Nature. The first ones are sick, corrupt and the latter are healthy beings. The human being should not wait to get old; the human being should not wait for the last days of its life to fully enjoy existence from its beginning as it should and not as they think it should be lived with "politics", "economy", "law enforcement", "productivity" and all the rest that we already know as "civilized moral society" that has nothing moral but injustice.

Ok question.......howwwwww are these people getting visa to stay in Panama now? As I understand it, They no longer offer the friendly nation's Visa and the new Visa to replace it requires you to pay at least 300k to $500k now. Who has that kind of money?

Also the "Investment Amount" specified can be "Property Owned" as well, so your primary residence can be the economic investment for residency. We just relocated here in November 2021, purchased our home here and are in the process of acquiring residence status, which honestly with 180 day tourist visa and easy process of a weekend trip out of country to renew it. Honestly isn't necessary a requirement either. Just recommend all ownership be held under a Panamanian Corporation works very well and extremely easy. We're (44 & 29) and packed up our business, vehicles and belongings and relocated everything to Panama. With the right local assistance this is actually a quite manageable endeavor too, not some of the horror stories you read about, but highly recommend to utilize local professionals who know the landscape well.

Speeds on average in remote areas are 10Megs. However Panama is quickly deploying Fiber Optic in many regions. We live in a very remote area on the side of Volcan Baru and I operate a Crypto Mining Farm on-site myself utilizing several WiFi connections, I run roughly 20GHs of Data 24/7 without any issue internet wise. Now power/electricity if you're operating servers or need 24/7 reliability, definitely need to invest in a good battery backup system as the power will go out occasionally but typically very short periods maybe 5min-15mim. Internet here is good though and in Metro areas it's fantastic, even the WiFi allows smooth streaming of HD Movies while running 20GHs of data simultaneously. Clear tower line of site helps if remote though 😉
